29 inch wheel mountain bikes are becoming the norm for many styles of riding. The larger wheel provides more momentum and speed since their greater angle of attack allows the bike to more easily roll over obstacles. You can also cover more distance in one revolution of a bigger wheel, so competitive cross country riders ride 29er exclusively.

I had an exceptional experience recently buying a high-end road bike from The Bike Shoppe. Nate, the bike shop manager, went out of his way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and he was very accommodating when I needed to put it on hold until I had sufficient funds. I also asked him to add a different handlebar and his attention to detail was very much appreciated. All in all I couldn't be happier. One of the best bike shop experiences I've ever had.

Unparalleled service, product(s), and knowledge. Best bike shop in Northern Utah by far. During these uncertain times with the recent high demand of cycling product comes low stock, availability, and ETAs, etc. This however doesn't reflect The Bike Shoppe's 45 years of conducting business, it's just an unfortunate time with oversea hiatus of production (no matter the shop, availability is scarce), with the addition of individuals discovering a hobby that is fun and/or rewarding simultaneously. We're vacationing from CA visiting Salt Lake and Idaho. My son's is looking for a specific 27.5inch MTB with hard tail. We checked around Idaho Falls and can't find anything. On our visit to Ogden, we called this place and they recommended 29" wheel size. The person helping is Nate and he helped us with everything. We got the bike at noon and was assembled in the evening. The bike was great and customer service was amazing.

I am Covid stranded in the SLC area from metro Detroit and needed exercise. I already had a MTB at home so didn't want to drop a large dime. I went in with a $300 to $500 budget and got myself a very nice basic Trek hard tail for $399. I spent a lot of time perusing the store and observing. They were very busy and all customers were being talked to. A good experience dealing with Jake. Thanks!

I have gone to the bike Shoppe for 10 years. They must not need my business! A spike that they supposedly fix broke again and i needed it fixed before I left town NOT! Yea we can fix it for a "RUSH FEE". Really as much as I've have spent in there ! #neveragain BIKESHOPPE!!!!#WALKAWAYBIKESHOPPE. ALWAY TREAT YOU LIKE YOUR SUBPAR! Never go there again!!!! Plenary of other bike shops to choose from!

My wife and I bought ebikes her and it was the best experience in a bike shop I have ever had. Nate and Jordan were excellent to work with and very knowledgeable. I have bought several bikes from different shops along the Wasatch Front and this is the first time the staff spent the required time to make sure the bikes fit. I very highly recommend this shop to anyone thinking of spending serious money on a bike.

I go to The Bike Shoppe for all of my major maintenance/repairs & bike fitting needs. They always take care of me and make sure the bikes are in excellent shape. Having gone from a casual rider (500 miles per year) to a more serious racer (7-8k miles per year) I've come to appreciate the convenience of handing over regular maintenance and the importance of getting set up with proper equipment and a good bike fit. I've tried out every bike shop within a 45min radius of The Bike Shoppe, and they are my go to guys.

I'm a James C and I love this shop. I'm sorry to hear about the bad experience the other James C. had. The staff has always been helpful and professional. They have a very clean store with a wide selection of everything you would need for road or mtn. The is by far the best shop in Ogden and I have been to all of them. I love that I have such an amazing shop so close to where I live. I bought my mountain bike from these guys, while my husband got his elsewhere. My husband and I are both newbies to the bike scene and we often ask "dumb" questions, yet these guys are always nice and helpful. It doesn't matter which bike we bring in or have questions about, they are always amazing. Last weekend I was about to head out for a trip when my husband realized he bought the wrong tubes for my tires. He rushed down there less than 30 minutes before they closed, and they had him out in time with new

Staff is unhelpful and will mock your bike if they decide its to cheap for their high standards to perform work for you. Especially if you didn't purchase it from them. I used to think it was just a bad employee but after having this happen again and again over 5 years or so I think it is the owner/manager that starts this attitude. Nice guys. Often the wrong part is recommended and an exchange or refund won't be allowed so your screwed. This has happened to me more than once in this store. I drive past this store and use others in town and go out of my way to avoid them.
