Liberty Ranch
Located in the heart of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, the Liberty Ranch is an affordable rehabilitation center that offers a safe, structured, and comfortable environment to overcome drug and alcohol abuse. With over 25 years of experience, The Liberty Ranch has helped thousands of people recover lives that were once lost to drug and alcohol abuse.

Having been built on 70 acres of gentle rolling hills and woodlands, the residents of The Liberty Ranch are able to relax and focus on developing a 12-step program appropriate to their chemical dependency in a very serene and comfortable environment away from the fast paced life of city living. Recreational activities on the ranch include hiking, fishing, playing horse shoes, volleyball, basketball, and billiards.
Services
The Liberty Ranch IOP supports men and women suffering from alcoholism or addiction to amphetamines, cocaine, Fentanyl, club drugs, designer drugs, opiates and prescription drugs. This program is appropriate for clients managing work and family responsibilities while attending part-time rehab. Substance misuse IOP is not recommended for men requiring medical detox or those requiring 24/7 supervision for severe chemical dependency.
Are you concerned about your son or daughter's drug abuse or drinking? Do you believe that he or she may might have a substance use disorder. Knowing how to support an addict adult child in healthy ways can be especially challenging for parents, as you want to help rather than hinder his or her recovery process.
What does adolescent drug use look like in the U.S. today? According to the 2019 Monitoring the Future Survey conducted by the National Institutes of Health, approximately 38% of 12th graders surveyed reported using an illicit drug during the past year, a large portion of that going to marijuana.

In fact, while the use of some substances such as prescription drugs has decreased in recent years, daily marijuana use has continued to increase among 8th graders, 10th graders and 12th graders since 2017.A 2009 research review found that substance use in adolescence, even as little as 1-2 years of heavy drinking, can have lasting effects on your child's brain development.
Home/Recent Posts/Married to an alcoholic or addict: How is substance abuse affecting your marriage? Are you worried that your husband or wife's drinking or drug use? Do you believe you may be living with an alcoholic husband or that your wife is an addict? Dealing with an addicted spouse can be quite difficult.
One of the most difficult things to do in recovery, and the first important hurdle, is to admit that there is a problem. No one likes to think that they may be an addict. There's a stigma attached. Addiction is the homeless man living under the bridge, we think. Addiction is an affliction of the weak, the mentally unstable, it's a character flaw.

My name is Brad Hill, I'm currently a resident here at The Liberty Ranch. I have been sober for 6 months thanks to the guidance, support, and tools I received here. When I first arrived I was open minded and knew something in my life needed to change, but I had to be willing to take direction from staff and senior residents. I quickly realized the structure of this program would force me to get honest with myself, others, and test my willingness to get sober. I would highly recommend The Liberty Ranch to anyone who is serious about rehabilitation and becoming a productive member of society.

When I first got to the liberty ranch I knew that my life was unmanageable and that I needed help that I would not be able receive from an out patient program, I knew that I would need a long term facility to be able to achieve long term sobriety. I have now been at the liberty ranch for 6 months now and I have acquired a sponsor that I have been working through the 12 steps of AA and gaining the tools that I need to stay sober. I would not be where I am at right now if it was not for this place and all the support that comes with it

This place saved my life! The staff went above and beyond to help the women n men at the facilities. It was unlike any rehab I was ever in. Not only did I learn and acquire the tools for long term sobriety but my mom n dad received help thru family groups that were held on Saturday's. They made friends and leaned on them while I was doing what I needed to do. I was actually in the house with Payton Richardson. I’m sorry she still holds such resentments with the house. Myself as well as the other girls tried to talk her thru it. She did not want to be there and made that very clear to all of us

I could not say enough good things about this place. First off, this place saved my life. I have nine years sober now and could not have done it without the help of all the incredible staff members at Liberty Ranch. Secondly, I would have to say that the facility itself is probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Liberty Ranch is one of the best places an individual could get sober. You also get a lifetime membership if you graduate. Even nine years later, the owner Larry, still texts me to see how I am doing. That man truly has a heart of gold. In my experience, very few sober livings

This place saved my life . Larry and staff spent over a year showing me a new way to live . I'm currently 13 years sober with a huge life thanks to Liberty . My brother got sober here too .. and then my father decided to get sober because we were sober . The trickle down effect saved my entire family . Getting sober isn't easy .... but it's absolutely possible here . They will love you until you learn to love yourself . You just got to be willing to try something different !

I didn't go to Liberty Ranch, but I went to Liberty House. It's run by the same owner and has an identical program. I graduated after 13 months in the house back in 2009. I now have a little over 12 years sober and an amazing life. My family and friends are forever grateful that I graduated from this program. If you're really trying to get sober and recover from addiction, you have to be willing to take a look at your behavior and make changes. Getting sober, and then staying sober long term requires a complete change in how you behave and how you think. Most places will help you stay sober for

My husband and I sincerely believe Larry Lutrell has earned a special place in heaven and probably his staff has too. He has integrity, compassion and truly cares for the welfare of others. Larry is human and is not perfect. He can get angry and probably does not always choose his words as carefully as he should at times but, this only because he cares so much for those who suffer from addiction. He has devoted his life to helping addicts get into recovery and supports them through the process to recovery. He continues to care about those who he has helped long after they have left is care.

I can only give the highest accolades to Liberty House/Ranch. I have been associated with them since 2001 and again in 2004 when both of my sons went through their program. This program and this house saved my son's lives. I don't think my son's were any different than another person going through their program, but the results in their lives and in my life is nothing short of a miracle. While the work that the people going through the program is not easy, the benefits on the other side of sobriety is amazing. My boys have been sober since they completed their programs and lead amazing lives today

My name is Trent Daily and I graduated from Liberty House in 2001. I have been sober more than 20 years thanks to the support and guidance I received at Liberty House. They taught me the tools I needed to live a sober life, how to take responsibility for my actions and how to be a productive member of society. This is not some flop house sober living. This is the place that will change you life. Even after all this time, those tools are still with me and I practice those principles in my daily life.
I am still involved with Liberty Ranch, sponsoring guys and participating in groups. The owner

I am currently at the men's house Liberty Ranch. This place has honestly been the best treatment center I've attended, and I've been to seven other impatient treatment stays. I was at my lowest low before coming here and only 90days in this place has been helping me change all my bad character defects and focus on myself so I can actually work on my problems and not just acquire some clean time and cut me loose like most places I've been too. The owner truly understands addiction and has a different approach with us, which from all the sobriety of the people who have completed the program have

This is a great place for recovery. The staff is very experienced with helping those in need of sobriety. Not only do they help with sobriety, but also with the growth and success of former addicts and alcoholics well past the end of their stay at the facility. The facilities are immaculate and it is a top tier program. They provide an experience that benefits everyone involved. I would highly recommend The Liberty Ranch to anyone who is serious about rehabilitation and becoming a productive member of society.

This place is sideways. It's bad. More behavior modification then anything. It really is a cult. They monitor literally everything, belittle you, brainwash you, lie to families to keep you longer. It's out of control there. I saw some very, very questionable things go on there. I was able to get out after 4 months. Place is insane. I'm telling you. I'm really telling you.

This facility is for younger people. I am now clean from alcohol for 2 years. Not because I went there but because I learned what I wasn't getting for help. I was a 60 year old female, treatment if you could call it that was based around much younger people. Including the staff. Would not recommend this facility for older people meaning 50 or older.

I will agree that Liberty does some things well. But don't get on the wrong side of the owner Larry Luttrell. If you question anything done there and get on his bad side he will post lies about you on the Liberty face book page. He lies to your loved one. He makes it so that you are put on non-communication with your loved one that can and does go on for over 6 months at a time. He called me out publicly posting that I was an addict, that I got my loved one "loaded" the night before I brought her to Liberty, and that he needed to protect her from me. He told her that I had

I am a wife and mother to two addicts in recovery. My husband is a product of The Liberty House/Ranch, and is 20+ years clean. My teenage son is a current resident of The Liberty Ranch, with 7 months (and counting) of sobriety under his belt. This is a journey and a process that I know nothing about. I am forever grateful for Larry, Jackson, Steven, Tiffany, and the entire team of The Liberty Ranch who have dedicated their lives to helping others recover from drugs and alcohol. They are giving my son the tools and resources he needs to live a clean and sober life. I am grateful that my son

I've been to the liberty ranch twice and would recommend the treatment center to anyone struggling with drugs or alcohol. Its saved my life and many others I know. Rehab isn't what I expected it to be for the best reasons. I've also heard horror stories about rehab facilities and the ranch couldn't be further from "horror" lol. Its extremely affordable especially considering all they do for you and the comfort you are living in. The way they do things there may seem backwards, odd, or downright pointless to patients and family members but God knows they do everything

My husband and I are so grateful for Ray and Liberty Ranch! Our son first entered the former LA location, now closed, and eventually ended up at the Kentucky Liberty Ranch. He now has over 4 years sober and I contribute it all to Ray and his staff. We had to do our part too, which meant listening to the advice we were given from Ray and his staff -they are the experts in addition and recovery; we are not. They know what they are doing! As parents it was our responsibility to stay strong and stick to the program, thus enabling our son and the program to take care of him. We know other people
