Freedom Yoga is such a blessing me (and my family!). The Release and Restore classes are one of the very best things I can do for myself to release stress. My daughter loves the aerial yoga classes. And my son and husband attend a few of the classes as well! I am so grateful for Toni and the space she has created, and for the classes she offers.
FY is truly life-changing. Services
In this "Trauma-Sensitive" class, Toni teaches tools for releasing stored stress and restoring the nervous system in order to reach homeostasis. Students will learn tools for releasing stored tension and stress from the body, breathing techniques, yoga stretches, restorative postures, Meditation, Guided Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
Grace Gannon enjoyed her first yoga class in 2016 and was instantly hooked. Coming from a background in sports, she appreciated the unique way yoga challenged the body while also respecting it. Grace began her 200 hour yoga teacher training with YogaFit in the summer of 2018; including training on how to facilitate a trauma-sensitive class.
What is "Trauma- sensitive" yoga and can I still attend/benefit if I have no history of trauma or PTSD?. Trauma-sensitive yoga is a way of delivering yoga with an understanding of how trauma changes the body and the mind. This type of yoga can promote "post traumatic growth."
Trauma-sensitive yoga has been proven to be an effective complementary and alternative treatment for PTSD and trauma because its considered a "bottom-up" method for healing trauma as opposed to the "top-down" approach with traditional therapy.The latest research has shown that trauma must be processed and released by the body and not just the mind.

Freedom Yoga has yoga practices that include a great mix of strength, flow, deep breathing, and relaxation.

By far the best at instructing, relating, improving, and yoga for all ❤️ Toni and Chris have so much knowledge and constantly strive to improve each individual practice. I always feel welcome and accepted, and challenged in each different class. I never leave a class not feeling the effect each class have.

Freedom Yoga Inc. and Toni have changed my life for the better!! Before starting the Release & Restore class with Toni, I struggled with anxiety daily from the stress of nursing school and work. I have been loving my classes here! I'm a total yoga newbie and was sooooo worried before my first class. But everyone at Freedom Yoga is welcoming and it's a truly judgement free zone.
The aerial yoga class is especially fun and the special classes they have regularly are keeping things interesting in my developing yoga practice!
I can't recommend Toni and all the wonderful instructors at Freedom yoga enough!!
