I have had Hom Property Management take care of my property for many years now. They have always done a wonderful job of keeping me informed and worry free. Their accounting is very thorough and includes access to the property finances on a mobile app with custom reports etc. When a tenant leaves, they usually have another tenant lined up and waiting well in advance. In the recent past, for personal reasons, I have had unusual support needs with my property. They have been more than gracious and have been very flexible with agreement durations etc. I definitely hope to do more business with them

If there was a negative star I would have given them. Very unprofessional, they are scammers. They lied to us saying we only have to pay for water utilities and all the other utilities will be included on the rent. After we paid for all the processes and waited a month they denied everything they said. Because of them we lost a lot of opportunities. Trust me, there are way other better managements never sign with them.

I thought I would have to change my rating to something worse rather than adding a star but I genuinely do not have many negatives to say about this company. Our security deposit return was fair and actually was adjusted to more than the original amount. We experienced very quick and efficient maintenance despite having a 125 year old house that was kind of falling apart. I have more bad things to say about the house itself and the fact that the city inspectors keep labeling it as safe to live in when the foundation of the house is completely crumbling and needs to be replaced. Hom Property Management has been managing my single family rental home near college campuses in Mankato for about 8 years. I have been a tenant at 2 different houses with HOM ( we needed a bigger place when a couple friends wanted to live with us) they have been very quick to respond to any maintenance issues that we have had. I have recommended them to others, and they have been very happy renting with them also. 5 stars to the staff, they do a nice job!

HOM took too much of our damage deposit. Me and my Roommates left our place looking good, expecting maybe $50 in damages for weeds in the yard and little things etc... HOM slapped us with $1000 of “damages” that did not add up. One example is they said we left even the baseboards “dirty” in rooms that we didn’t even use! We tried to reason with them and they ended up saying they would give us about 20$ back per guy... which is a joke to try to make us feel like we got something back. Trust me when I say you cannot trust them!

PLEASE READ WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND A HORRIBLE TIME. Honestly, would have rather lived in a box than the place I lived in. The house was disgusting when we moved in, and had tons of problems. The management was horrible, many times they would tell us maintenance was coming but would give us a day and a time that would be something like 9:00 am - 6:00 pm which should be narrowed down a bit. Also, we had a few times where maintenance would come, but wouldn't finish apparently but also didn't tell us that and would randomly show up the next day with out warning. Oh, they let them selves

House was in bad shape since the day we got there and had clearly not been kept up in quite a while, when we received our damage deposit after our lease was up they took out almost $1000 when we left the place better than when we got there. Through several emails back and forth and not getting the info from them we were asking for they offered to give us less than $100, when we should’ve been refunded several hundred. They have junk properties and scam students out of their damage deposits, do not rent from them.

Definitely not a good rental company in Mankato. For the past year, I have rented one floor of a house with two other guys from HOM Property Management in Mankato. Also, when we all received our security deposits back, costs were taken out for fixes, "damages", which were most definitely present were I moved in . Additionally, they rarely let renters lock their bedroom door. (Thank you for letting me purchase my own deadbolt/install myself, without any issues). I would like to see all of your other renters have the opportunity to secure their bedroom doors if they'd like. Further
