I chose SunBug Solar in the fall of 2017 to put in a 7.26KWp system. It is now 2022 and we have had zero issues with the system and are about to break even with a lifetime energy of 42MWh, the US and Mass Tax breaks, and SREC-II incentives. The sales rep, Chris Miller, at Sunbug was more than professional, and the mechanical and electrical installers were friendly and accommodating. They handled the permitting and overall, I am happy with the system, but I had two concerns to share. Tl;DR: don't let any installer do the outside electrical if there is a chance of rain. Insist on postponing

I talked to absolutely every one about a solar panel installation. I easily spent months on researching the topic, vendors, and installation techniques. Ultimately I settled on on a mechanically mounted system for my flat roof, which was wonderful.
Some vendors would not touch a flat roof. Some only installed ballasted systems. Some vendors assumed that they could use a lift to get onto my roof when they actually needed a crane. Some just wanted to overcharge me with the hot new technology, sweeping the nation. After reviewing multiple bids, I settled on Sunbug to install my system.

I usually don't write reviews since I don't have the time for it. But I wanted to take time to write this one because SunBug Solar is that kind of company.
First of all, these guys are amazing, top-notch people from sales, to administration to installation. Second, the process was smooth as it can be; they prepared all the paperwork, inspection and etc. One could sign everything remotely through DocuSign. Lastly, the people and workmanship. I had quotes from other solar installers and quite pushy sales person who didn't know a lot about solar panels (had to go back and ask the

SunBug was a great company to work with. They came back with several different proposals and discussed different options. They seemed more than happy to get the right capacity vs cost that I was looking for. After installation I ran into one issue with a faulty component and they were there the next day to replace it. They handled the whole process from design to permitting to application to installation to service. I found the team to be very responsive. The system has functioned better than I thought it would (installed in June 2015).
