Both are Licensed Professional Counselors in the state of North Carolina and have over 30 years of combined experience in working with primarily children (K-12) and adolescents in a variety of settings including but not limited to: schools, residential settings, group homes, psychiatric inpatient programs, juvenile detention centers and currently in an outpatient counseling office.
Jodie has moved on to other ventures but is still an integral part of the team. Genuine Counseling is to provide all individuals with an opportunity to learn skills that may be used to enhance decision making and improve their quality of life. These people are awesome! The 4 staff members that i met were so KIND. They were glad i was there. The gentleman that did my intake was just that.. gentle. The situation we were discussing was delicate and he spoke to me with a tenderness that is unmatched. I believe this group of people genuinely care about their clients and we aren't a "job". So the name of their company suits them perfectly. I highly recommend getting your needs met at this location, also because they can help with a wide array of social, mental problems.
