Fireside Motel
At the Fireside Motel, we are actively working to reduce our plastic consumption. We are doing our part to cut our waste and to educate our guests and partners about the effects of plastic in our oceans. We understand how much it means to bring your pet with you to the Oregon Coast. We feel that same way about our pets!

That's why the Fireside Motel has made it a priority to accommodate the pets of our guests. In addition, we support the Humane Society of Central Oregon, and encourage others to financially support or adopt a pet from their local animal shelter. When it comes to experiencing the Oregon Coast, your stay at the Fireside Motel is just the beginning.

The Oregon coast is spectacular, and you can easily spend 5-7 days there sightseeing or exploring. We took a week's trip along the entire length of the Oregon Coast going from North to South in October. For our middle leg, we had hoped to stay at another Oceanfront Lodge as it looks nice on the website, but they were unfortunately repaving their parking lot and were closed. So we had to go with Fireside Motel. I had been hesitant about booking a room that did not directly face the water, and while their rooms are all within steps to the ocean, ours faced the parking lot. The key to a great

Wonderful hotel!! so fun to have my dog enjoying the place as much as me! we'd enjoy the ocean view, i'd have a light breakfast and coffee and then we'd take the perfect walk called "804" all along the ocean to a looooong sandy beach where Jake (my dog) could run forever without his leash! I love this hotel AND the staff - very welcoming and unfussy. wonderfully updated and the beds was heaven.......

Great place! Amazing location with beautiful views. Only regret was that I didn't book earlier and get a room with a view of the ocean. I would definitely go back here again.

Good place for dogs, much nicer than Adobe! Very clean and comfortable rooms, accommodating staff. No noxious cleaning chemical smells, which I appreciated.

Amazing views. Quiet, clean and a memory maker for sure. Sitting outside my room watching the waves drinking some wine bought from the shop. No complaints and I'm almost never totally happy when it comes to hotels.

Great great place!!! I came from out of state for a family reunion, I grew up spending many weekends in Yachats prior to moving out of state. It was the absolute perfect location as some family stayed at the Overleaf and others rented a house in the neighborhood next door.
The staff was beyond friendly, their customer service is top-notch, even from the moment I booked my room and called and had questions. Everyone always said “hi” or “good morning” when ever I walked by.
The room was very clean, and felt well taken care of. It is not your “typical” standard hotel room, but that’s

Highly recommended this nicely renovated motel in a visually stunning location. It sits right on the ocean with surf pounding into rough rock formations creating geyser-like bursts of water into the air. Nice trail in both directions to walk along the shore. It's the basic motel building but renovated well with solid furniture, carpet and accessories. Dog friendly with everything you need to keep them as clean.

I responded to a flowery email from Fireside Motel encouraging people to stay there. I wrote back to them, asking them if they were living in an alternate universe. That's it. The comment she makes about "our previous conversation" (email) regarding their handling of Covid 19, was polite but I did not think they were doing an adequate job and so I canceled my reservation.

Today, I got this response:

You can't beat these views. We really liked that when we booked online, we knew exactly what room we'd be staying in. The room was very clean, and very comfy. Being next to the beach was such a fun experience and great to explore. Staff was helpful and the syrup in the gift shop was $1 cheaper than at the touristy shops!

A true Motel. Two stories high to give you best ocean watching experience. Our room had a California king, and a Queen pullout, nice t.v., small fridge and coffee maker. Enough room for an adult and three teens. 5 would fit nicely. One night was a little less than a couple hundred. Lobby has coffee and hot chocolate all day until 10:30pm.
Continental breakfast starts 7:30 to 10:30am, in the lobby. You are offered cereals, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, O.J.and fruits. Nothing cooked. But the main attraction is the beach. A very nice walking path is laid out as close to the ocean as can safely be. wooden

I am always happy to stay here and it's sister property (Overleaf). The view is beautiful, Fireside is pet friendly and the rooms are always nice and clean. Located just between Florence and Newport. It is one of my personal go-to spots when I just need to get away and stare at the Ocean for awhile. I recommend scheduling a spa treatment!

Traveling south on Hwy 101 in Oregon is full of adventure doing it without reservations can be scary. But this trip being off season, May, we were very lucky. The Fireside Motel is located on the rocky shores of the Pacific and our room, the Oystercatcher, was large, clean and had a deck looking west. The only sounds heard from our room was the crashing of the waves on the rocks . The room rental included a very basic continental breakfast. Lodging in Yachats is limited so at the very least phone ahead to ensure you have room.

Our family of 5 stayed in the Eagles Nest family suite. This extra large 2 bedroom suite had a full kitchen and large living room with ocean views.

The staff was very helpful with several requests. Continental breakfast was fresh each day and ample.

Truly stunning ocean views and beachfront (more rock than sand but still very enjoyable)

This is the third time we've stayed here and enjoyed it every time.
First, the staff is incredibly helpful and have a great sense of humor. Michelle was great and we earned a discount by giving her cans of food to give to the homeless that the hotel supports.

If you can, reserve a room on the top floor facing the ocean; the view is incredible, especially at high tide, and there is a path or lots of places to walk on the rocks at low tide.

They do offer a breakfast of donuts, coffee, OJ, muffins, eggs and other things in the main office and you'll probably end up eating them in your

Oregon Live calls Yachats "the gem of the Oregon coast" for its many attractions -- the black basalt rock shoreline, Cape Perpetua, Smelts Sands State Park, the miles of scenic hiking trails. So what do you do if you're from out of town and come here with a dog?

The Fireside is a fine motel if you're looking for a reasonably priced dog-friendly place to stay that's right on the ocean and right off Highway 101 (drive slowly or you might miss it). We were able to book a first-floor room with an ocean view and had no real complaints. Yes, you can hear the people in the next

What a wonderful surprise awaited us in Yachats, and although short, what a GREAT visit we had in this small, scenic village, due in large part to our stay at this beautiful motel!!

Careful, you might miss it, like we almost did as we headed south on 101. Not because it's small (it's not huge..) but because it's set back a bit from the road (nice and quiet, even front facing rooms), and semi-hidden by some beautiful trees out front. Easy check in process, and although we had hoped for ocean-front view, I think we did even better with our surprise upgraded room facing front AND

Like a best kept secret I have to say. The ocean couldn't be any closer. The rooms are clean and quiet from our own experience. They allow pups too and for this time of year prices are very reasonable. We got a break because they are also doing a canned food drive so you can get 20% off as well.

They have towels and a sheet with a couple of dog biscuits for your pooch which they give you at the same time as your key at the desk.

They are doing some remodeling so be patient but we got a newer room because of that.

Town is very close by with lots of great restaurants as well. The hotel
