Regenesis Medical Spa and Laser Skin Clinic is proud of its affiliation with master esthetician Edie Elders Cruz and her salon, Vanity Salon and Spa, located at 7611 Maple Street in Uptown New Orleans. Born in Atlanta and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Edie moved to New Orleans in 1989 and began her career in the beauty industry in 1996.
After receiving her esthetician training, she worked in several New Orleans salons and spas including the now defunct Make Up Art before opening her own business, Vanity Salon and Spa, in 2008. After losing everything in a fire in 2009, she quickly reopened her salon within two weeks into a one-room office.

Botox(R) is an FDA-approved treatment that works to improve your appearance by getting rid of fine facial lines and wrinkles. This injectable substance temporarily reduces and improves the appearance of moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles including frown lines and glabellar lines, the vertical lines located in the area between the eyebrows.
A chemical peel is a skin rejuvenating or skin resurfacing treatment that visibly improves skin texture and appearance by removing the outer layers of dead skin. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled in appearance.
Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid derived from fruits such as sugar cane, beets, pineapple, and grapes. It provides a gentle, superficial peel. In addition to its' antiinflammatory and antioxidant properties, glycolic peels provide excellent skin exfoliating results. Here at Regenesis, we utilize glycolic peel consisting of 40 to 50% glycolic acid.
Salicylic Acid is a beta-hydroxy acid naturally derived from willow bark and wintergreen leaves but can also be produced synthetically in the lab. As a superficial level peel, it is wonderful at zapping excess oil on the skin. Oily skin is often a very difficult skin condition to manage. If oily skin is left untreated, it could potentiate more serious skin concerns such as chronic acne and pimples.
