Desert Recycling, Inc. is the only fully permitted, Construction Materials with Transfer/Processing Recycling Facility operating in the Coachella Valley. We operate on a 25 acre site at 27-105 Sierra Del Sol, Thousand Palms, California. The yard was opened in 1991 and to date have recycled over 2,200,000 tons of materials.
All materials received at our facility are recorded by jurisdiction so we can report to each City and the County areas the volumes received. This tracking system is required to meet the mandates of State Law AB 939 that requires all jurisdictions reduce their waste streams by a minimum of 50%. When you recycle at our facility you will receive full recycling credits as required by some Cities.

Services
To achieve a quality product the concrete/asphalt loads received at our yard go through our Load Check inspection. This is to ensure that no hazardous materials are in the loads and to ensure all trash is removed and the materials are sized to 30x30 minus. This inspection process is essential to ensure that our crushed miscellaneous base is a quality product.
Loads with trash or sized over 30x30 in size will be charged for our cost to remove the trash or size the material. Many competitors will not accept these loads but we offer this service to ensure these loads get recycled. We are the only Transfer Processing Facility approved for the collection of mixed construction material here in the Coachella Valley.
Our concrete washout has two unique patent pending features: a 176 gallon water reservoir and a folding rear gate that allows large concrete pump trucks to reverse directly into the container. Because of these features, the container will not require any wash water pumping under normal-use conditions.
