I can’t say enough good things about Spearfish Martial Arts! The coaches are all fantastic and the life lessons and values our kids are taught in addition to martial arts is such wonderful reinforcement to what we teach at home. Our boys have been going for a couple years and seeing their confidence grow and being so proud of what they are learning and excelling is heartwarming for my husband and I to see. We are very grateful to Coach/Master Thomas and the other coaches too!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Was coming in from Arizona and had an absolute blast! Everyone was super friendly and there was very good competition there! Also, love the environment of the whole place! Just a bunch of great people who enjoy the beautiful art of jiu jitsu! Definitely will be going back next time I’m in town!

Communicated with owner/instructor Jordan Thomas that my family would be coming to Deadwood and asked if I could pop in for some jiu-jitsu training. The only time that could fit my schedule was a morning class, which Jordan allowed me to teach as a visiting black belt. Had a fantastic experience...everyone was super cool and very technical! I will tell you with honesty that this is a great gym with a solid BJJ program, and I highly recommend that anyone who lives here or visits the area train at Spearfish Martial Arts.

Being new to the area, I was a bit reserved about walking into a Martial Arts Studio and starting training where I didn’t know anyone.
Jordan and Nate and all their students brought me right in and immediately treated me as part of the team. The instruction is great and I now look forward to getting into class as much as possible. They have done a great job at having many different times available for people to come in and train. If you are interested in pursuing martial arts I definitely recommend Spearfish Martial Arts

My youngest decided that she wanted to be in Brazilian Jujitsu. I took her to the first week and she has been in it ever since. She has made new friends, she looks forward to going to practice, she adores the instructors! She has become more disciplined in all areas of her life. It has been a wonderful learning experience for her and she intends to stick with it! She tells everyone she can about it. Thank you Master Thomas and all the other instructors at Spearfish Martial Arts. You make a wonderful difference in people's lives.

Spearfish Martial Arts have been a awesome experience for my daughter! Master Thomas and his team are encouraging, patient, kind, and respectful. When you walk in the environment is energetic, but like walking into a family gathering. My daughter has learn so much like respectful to adults and friends, discipline in her studies in all aspects of life, self defense, real life situations, how to control her mind, etc. If you want your child to learn how to survive in this day of age, I highly recommend Spearfish Martial Arts!!

The quality of people, and the environment, at Spearfish Martial Arts is as good as it gets. There are plenty of times to train...sometimes twice a day... four to five times a week. Every skill level can jump in on any class and get their money's worth. My child loves training there. I love training there. I look forward to my youngest training there...

My son has been part of Spearfish Martial Arts for 7 years and has grown from a shy little boy to an amazing outgoing young man. Master Thomas has the most amazing classes and helps develop discipline while having fun.
