Services
MATECO Drilling Company is a specialty contractor providing geotechnical and environmental drilling services since 1974. Our team of qualified and trained staff members are located at our operations office in Rockford, Michigan, and supported by the corporate office located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
While the completed project is generally above ground, the project starts below it. At MATECO Drilling, we know that the conditions below the surface are as critical and complex as the structures that sit atop it. These sub-surface conditions can significantly impact the scope of your project's design, budget and schedule.
Today, more than ever, our company recognizes the importance of maintaining and appreciating our environment, not only for us today, but for future generations to come. MATECO Drilling Company provides environmental drilling services throughout Michigan and the Midwest. Our environmental drilling practices will provide clean, accurate samples to determine the existence of any contaminates in soil or groundwater.
When your project involves wetlands, marshes or ponds, MATECO can provide a solution to these challenging conditions and assist you with making your difficult project successful. MATECO's Marsh Master (MM-2) is a fully amphibious track rig with the capability of carrying personnel and equipment through stump filled swamps, floating marsh, peat bogs, as well as deep water crossings.
Equipped with a proven Geoprobe 142HP engine and hydraulic system that provided excellent climbing and turning ability. Four hydraulic outriggers and an auxiliary bottom clamp to secure the tool string with the push clamp is released. Used by geotechnical engineers to determine construction requirements for infrastructure, roadbeds, bridges, and buildings.
