The House of Woo began in Los Angeles by wife and husband team Staci Woo & Mike Badt in 1997. From the beginning, the dream was to produce locally, with intention and to create something you'll love forever, it's what we call 'Future Vintage'. Our Arts District Design Workshop & Studio has been our headquarters for the past 14 years.
Home of our Made in LA brands: Woo est. 96, LittleWoo, The Uplifters, and Sand & Sea Club. We create our boutique quality products with intention, produce locally and resourcefully while staying true to our California roots. With the ever changing climate of the Downtown Los Angeles neighborhood, we aim to keep the arts in the district.

Services
Shop our curated eclectic collective of home and lifestyle goods. We have goods from artisans local and far that bring a worldly flavor into the House of Woo. Shop our classic soft magic carpet beach towels made in our DTLA studio, handmade seagrass baskets from Vietnam, and vintage African indigo textiles.
Wearing sunscreen daily is one of the most important things you can do for your skin, that is for certain. However, recent studies and a mass recall have made the process of choosing which brand to go with much more confusing. When we set out to find a new sunscreen to carry at our Woo flagship, we set out to do some extensive research & product testing before we landed one that would make us proud.

I was looking for masks and I finally found the perfect place. They have masks of various prints along with kids and adult sizes. The masks are $15 for one unless you purchase 10 masks it will be $10 per masks. The staff was very friendly especially, Cindel, she always helps me find the perfect masks to match my outfit I'm planning to wear.
The storefront is open where you can purchase the masks or you can order them online as well.
Parking:
There is street parking in front of the store as well as a pickup area too.
I would definitely recommend you get masks here to support a local

I just adored the girl (wish I would have gotten her name) who assisted my friend and I earlier today with picking out face masks! She was so attentive and patient with us! She brought out different samples of face masks and even suggested to us where we should put our little patches. She was super duper sweet! Can't wait for the shop to fully open to shop around I saw a bunch of cute stuff! Ooooh she also helped me pick a bundle of sage! She was amazing!

COVID19 review. Now that face masks are required, I have been on the hunt to find cloth face masks, sold locally, at a reasonable price. I think it's important to support small businesses during these tough times.
The House of Woo was mentioned in an LA Times article. After discovering they were in DTLA and checking out their website, I decided to place an order. For $60 you get 6 well made cloth masks in a variety of colors. You can choose from solids, stripes, floral, or mixed patterns.
The masks arrived by mail about 1 week after placing my order online. I was so happy when I

The first time I visited this shop, I was obsessed. The second time I wasn't quite as impressed (maybe the novelty was just gone), but still enjoyed it. I got there right about when they opened and they acted surprised and told me I couldn't come in. Then a moment later they let me in since I guess they realized they were supposed to be open... it was a little odd.
In the front, there is a small shop with some really cute items. It has a lot of pricey items as I have come to expect from stores like this. I actually appreciate the back area more though, so make sure you don't miss

This boutique has an extremely insensitive collection of "Deport Me" shirts for sale. It advocates deporting someone to an ideal paradise city because that's exactly what refugees and broken families are running away from - paradise.
To glamorize and make a profit out of traumatic experiences is vile and disgusting; it goes against the values of solidarity they claim to advocate for. All of these clothes should be taken down.
