It requires years of study & twice yearly classes with Premier Colorists in NYC to achieve this recognition. Our Philosophy is to provide the best possible service using the finest products available. The Hair Studio Staff will thoroughly consult with each client and then analyze that client's hair before making appropriate recommendations.
Wigs are selected from a number of the best known designers to provide our clients with the desired appearance and utmost comfort. All of our wigs are custom fitted to individual head size and shape. We offer human hair, synthetic or a blend of the two. The Hair Studio offers beautiful, natural looking wigs and hair extensions by top of the line wig companies.
Owner Frank Napolitano opened the Hair Studio in 1977 in its downtown Pittsfield location and has operated there ever since. Frank is recognized as a Master Stylist & Colorist, having studied with Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Beth & Carmine Minardi and Lisa & Jon Gunther and he is the only practicing Board Certified Colorist in the area.

I went to get my hair cut for the first time in over a year today. I was lucky enough to get Sandy as my stylist (with color commentary by Jen and her awesome client ❤️) It was not only an incredible haircut and exactly what I was looking for, but a wonderful experience with great conversations and a fun and laid-back atmosphere. I'm excited to come back in a week or two for some color! Thanks again Sandy and Jen, you guys are amazing!

I have very long hair and have wanted to get a shoulder length cut with a beach wave for a while. I have been nervous to do this because of previous experiences with other stylists who have cut my hair too short. This was my first time with Jennifer at The Hair Studio, and I won't go anywhere else now! She listened to what I wanted, heard my concerns and made suggestions to make sure I was comfortable with what she was doing. The quality of care put into my hair care is absolutely outstanding. The guidance on post care of my hair color has kept me at almost 8 weeks of amazing silky hair and vibrant depth of color. Not only is Jennifer accommodating, detail-oriented and wonderful to work with, she is an extremely genuine and kind person. She fit me in last minute, listened to all of my hair concerns and gave me the best experience possible. I haven’t left a salon feeling this confident and pleased in a very long time. I usually don’t allow stylists to touch my hair because it always comes out not how I like it. However, I really needed a makeover and had heard about a woman at the hair studio. Jennifer was the sweetest, fun, down to earth stylist I have ever met. She took the time to explain to me what she was doing and listen to every single one of my concerns. She’s a true professional at what she does and I would recommend her to everyone!

I have never been disappointed with any of my hair cuts or colors at The Hair Studio. Friday, Jennifer took my crazy color idea and made it a reality. When the purple part didn't come out quite right the first time she was able to fix it and now it is better than I imagined. She also gave me the perfect cut to show off my new color

Recently visited with my girlfriend to get coloring and trims, our stylist Kellyann was awesome! She was very friendly to talk to and easy to work with. Normally I'm hesitant about getting my hair cut & styled (have short hair) because of bad experiences in the past, but she had me walking out of there looking like a Rockstar!!

Kellyann did a great job on my teen son's hair!!! This is the 4th salon I've tried since moving here and she was able to look at the picture we brought in and do a great job. She spent some time just working with his hair before cutting to see where his cowlicks were and what his hair was like. She also put in a "hard line" part (I think that's what she called it) which my son really likes.

I had an amazing experience at the Hair Studio. It was the most professional hair salon I've ever been to. Frank highlighted and cut my hair and I couldn't be happier. He and the other staff are very knowledgeable about hair dying and styling and use only the best products. They're also very fun to talk to. I would recommend The Hair Studio to anyone looking to get their hair colored or cut. It's not too expensive and you get a lot more than you pay for!

I am very impressed by Christy who cut my hair exactly the way I wanted. She worked on my hair for one long hour to create exact type of bob I wanted. I have recommended her to many people now. The owner is a gentleman and you can walk in and feel like a welcome customer. They treat you with so much of respect and listen to you carefully. Christy is my permanent hair stylist in Pittsfield! Highly recommend.

Andrea gave me a wonderful change from the "too gold" blonde I walked in the door of the salon with to a "soft subdued " blonde with some nice "painted" highlites plus a nice shaping trim. The salon is filled with light and a calming pleasure. I thought the services were a little pricey but worth it because I will definitely be back.
