Grandview Valley Winery began as a dream; father, mother, son and wife seated at a kitchen table discussing the particulars of that dream; somewhat oblivious of the immense amount of work and dedication necessary to make it a reality but also eager, willing, able and ecstatic to give it a try! This dream was truly built from the ground up by us.
Reservations are "standing" to all customers, keeping in mind that we are busiest from 5:30-7:30 on Fridays and Saturdays and if our indoor seating is at max capacity you'll be put on a waiting list and have to wait outside and we will call you when a table becomes available. Please don't assume you can put your unattended kids on a table and adults on another, our servers are not your babysitters.
At Grandview Valley Winery all of our wines are made from 100% Minnesota Grown grapes when the harvest allows (Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon excluded). Our winemaker, John Rigge, has passion and finesse like no other; he pays special attention to techniques specific to making great wine out of cold-hearty varietals and his passion truly shows through in all of the wines.
This is a dry white light crisp wine with hints of lime and pineapple and has an elegant citrus finish. Produced and bottled at Grandview Valley Winery, located in the Minnesota River Valley, we believe the making of a great wine starts in the vineyard. Our passion is to affectionately create award winning fine wines by combining the old world character of hard work, dedication, and patience.
Looking south from our winery, you will see the beautiful and historic steeple of the "Rock Dell" church after which we believe is well worthy of naming a wine. This beautifully balanced semi-sweet red wine has characteristics of cherry and plumb with a hint of current. It's made from the Frontenac grape.

Great place, the pizza was amazing (strawberry sriracha was our favorite!) squirrelly wine was perfect as well. The lady that helped us was kind and sociable and skipped the meat for us with no problem! If anything it would be nice if they had a couple more vegetarian options (just because its usually a bit cheaper). Overall, loved the vibe and we will definitely be back!

I've been here many times. They have some of the most delicious pizza I've ever had. I adore the cauliflower crust. My favorites are the barbeque chicken and the chicken terriyaki. Plus, the sausage and cheese appetizers are just top notch. What really makes the place special, though, is the atmosphere. It is nestled in the river valley next to the vineyard. When it is nice enough, I love to sit out on their patio, especially in the evening. There's a pergola full of grape vines, the fresh breeze bringing in the wonderful smells of nature, the lovely little light strings creating such ambiance

Pizza and wine?!?! What better combo! I was working out of state and some locals told me to come check out this winery for the wine and the pizza! After checking out some reviews and arriving I tried most of the wines and did a half and half pizza! One half Caribbean and one half Cuban Pickle Crisis! A-Maz-ING!!! The flavors are on point and converted me for having pineapple on pizza!!!!! The wine is as great, lots of options to choose from and I left with 4 bottles: Le Crescent, Rose and 2 Steeple ridge. The outside patio is awesome and the view is great and I came at the end of September!!!!

I've lived in CA for 25 years now (I'm old!), so I've been to better wineries with better wine. However, if you go to Grandview and don't order the strawberry sriracha pizza, you're missing a life-changing experience! Order it.... eat it! I still think about it. Anytime I'm near my hometown of Marshall I will get back here for that pizza!

Pizza crust seems premade, hamburger and sausage seem premade, not fresh, at least not in my experience. No ice tea beverage, in fact waiter said they don't serve tap water (huh?) so bottled water was served (not eco-friendly). Sauce lacked depth of flavor which says to me it's a quickie tomato-based sauce. Beautiful building but large open plan made for a noisy ambience, could not talk comfortably with my date. Waiter was so-so, not particularly friendly, and didn't get our order correct. Beautiful country setting, but so-so food and service.

I wasn't sure about pizza at a winery but it was great. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the crust and sauce were delicious. Wine tastings are done individually at the counter. I'm not a wine person but my wife purchased two bottles. One was "Rockin Coyote" I believe. The decor and setting there are nice. Well kept and homey not pretentious at all. They also had a pretty good beer selection. One note though. It's cash or checks only. They don't take cards. There is an ATM on site though.

You just have to visit to get the full experience, it's that great! It's nestled out in the country, the drive to get there is beautiful and well worth it. The atmosphere and the ambience are so comforting and inviting. The wine choices are excellent, I personally had the Old Red and White and just could't get enough of it. We ordered one of their surpreme pizzas and bring an appetite because they are loaded with ingredients and fairly large, very very tasty! I only wish I lived closer so I could go again and again. It's fun, relaxing, beautifully designed and very
