Alex Raskin Antiques
Everyone values their space, whether it's a home or an office. Decorations and furnishings are what make your room unique and comfortable for you. Therefore, the design is essential because it's part of what makes up the place's character. With our strong passion for interior design, we aim to help you idealize your desired models and bring them to life.

As a lifestyle website, we specialize in home decor and redesigning using antique furniture. We retain a classic, vintage style but keep up with trends and chic designs in fashion. That helps us to provide beautifully curated ideas that, even though deals with antiques, are modern. Thus, it gives your home a unique look that incorporates the best of both worlds.
Services
We're privileged to have a diverse team made of individuals with various design interests. Our contributors include writers, editors, stylists, lifestyle and fashion enthusiasts, interior decorators, designers, and antique collectors. We have the opportunity of pooling knowledge from these people with vast experience in their field.
Colors indeed affect the general look and feel of a particular room. That's why it's crucial to put much thought into them. And now you know why it takes time to choose a hue scheme. However, even though it can be tricky, choosing the right color is easy once you know what you want to achieve. There are basic rules that designers follow.

What a great spot in Savannah for unique and beautiful antiques. Thank you Alex and Patrick for helping me find just the right piece.

Eerie. There's just something so off-putting about that place. There is a wide variety of furniture but I will warn most of it is very overpriced. For 3500 dollars I'd rather buy a new wardrobe. Just really sketch vibes. And I do not want to go back.

Unfortunately, I must echo what others have said. The basement floor is packed full of antiques with obscenely exorbitant prices, the rest of the house is currently closed off (which is fine if the items upstairs mentioned in other posts are not available for sale, but based on the moldering appearance of the basement, it's being closed off made me wonder if the decrepit old place was going to come down on top of me), and the proprietor's frustration with curious folks with no real interest in purchasing $4000 credenzas was palpable: he seems to think every customer is just such a person

The shop has great antiques, definitely some are really old and really beautiful stuff. It was also crazy to see some of the odd things that we just don't really make anymore. It's definitely worth a stop before or after you check out Forsyth Park!

They could start by honoring their posted business hours. Don't waste your time. Plenty of other places to spend your money.

I have tried to come to this store MANY times in the past month. I tried on weekends, on weekdays... multiple times of day.. morning, afternoon, early evening- and IT IS NEVER OPEN! The hours online ARE A LIE! The lights are always off, and there is the same sign on the door, that says "by appointment only". When are they open????? Also, the website online, brings you to a store in California. And when you try and contact them.. on Instagram, Facebook or on the phone... NO RESPONSE IS EVER GIVEN. I am totally frustrated at this point.

Terrible place and Alex Raskin is a terrible man. He is great at bullshitting and making things up about what he’s selling. He actually knows very little about what he does. Extremely rude to many people, especially young and non-white. The historic building hasn’t had any maintenance done in decades and it shows. Shows extreme greed and complete… lack of historical appreciation. The place is completely falling apart. Such a shame. Do not give this guy your business, if only for him reselling antiques from other places nearby for 4x the price (with a fake backstory).

Always an interesting piece with an interesting story to be told by knowledgeable owner, Alex Raskin. A veteran antiques dealer with a wide variety of unique history for sale. This shop is a must-see for serious buyers of ANTIQUE furniture, sheet music, decorative pieces, paintings, tableware, baskets, mirrors, everyday and entertaining items imagined and unimagined. A destination shopping experience that does not disappoint!

I'm so happy I just found this wonderful Savannah Manse again! I visited about 8 years ago! This old Savannah style home is amazing! Entering the Garden Level you get a sense of nostalgia immediately! You can almost sense the previous owners of the past! Moving upward through the home there are many wonderful trinkets, furniture and antiques of all kinds! I loved my adventure in this stately home and cannot wait to return to this square and this wonderful home!!!

When life seemed normal, roughly two short weeks ago, before the madness that has unraveled in the last couple of weeks due to the Coronavirus, I stumbled upon Alex Raskin Antiques (ARA) while I was with my MIL and cousin who were visiting. I was taking them around town before grabbing some lunch. We were in awe of the building and then I noticed the antique furniture set up outside, so we were curious to see what was inside. My MIL loves antiques, so we decided to pop our heads in.

The building itself is beautiful, historic with tall windows and a very beautiful balcony on the second floor

Walked in here after a summer of vacationing... The owner looked at me like I was going to steal something and didn't greet me at all. A couple walked in after me, and his reaction was a 180! He smiled, greeted them with a warm welcome and asked them where they were from! I thought he was just a snot but soon realized he "judged a book by the cover". Little does he know, I am probably the wealthiest person he will talk to all month, maybe this year. I will never do business here and would like to warn others.

I live in Savannah, lived here for about 2 years now. I'm still seeing the sights, ha.

Anyway I heard about this place and so one day after work I stopped in. The reviews about how rude the owner is didn't really concern me.

Well, after finding parking and making it into the place, I got about 5 minutes to look around before the owner came and kicked me out. He said "We're closed." I said "Don't you close at 5?" He just kept repeating that they're closed.

Y'all, it was 4:30. Give me a break. They were closing up? It takes 30 minutes to turn the

We had a great time visiting this shop, which is located in the only unrestored mansion left in Savannah. The owner was so nice and interesting to talk to. He even let us explore the upper three floors of the building, which are typically closed to visitors.

We have visited Mr. Alex’s house on multiple occasions and have enjoyed it each time! From my understanding, this house is one of the only houses left in its original state! Untouched! My husband and I are… intrigued by the history of the items Mr. Alex has and even more intrigued by the house itself. Mr. Alex has always been very nice and welcoming to us and we are fascinated at his knowledge of all the items. I highly recommend this place to anyone who comes to visit Savannah!

As a shop in the middle of Savannah, I would imagine the owner knows how difficult parking is and that we had to make a deliberate and time consuming effort to get there during his business hours. We made that effort only to find a sign posted on a piece of paper that they were closed today but that SERIOUS INQUIRIES may call them to meet. I… understand emergencies that require a small business to close, but just not wanting to fulfill their business hours unless I promise to give them a big sale? That's without class and standards. I was excited to see the place and buy a few mementos of

My mom loves antiques so we were super excited that this shop was in an old mansion! The second we walked in the owner (I'm assuming Alex) walked out of a room, looked at us like he knew we didn't have enough money to actually buy anything, and turned around. No hello, nothing, not very smart for a shop who's average price is $1000

A few days later we visited a different antique shop by the water and found out that the owner of Alex Raskin frequently purchases items for $35 or so at this shop and labels it $900 in his shop with a FAKE story. We were explained that it was clear that

Incredible house that has NOT been restored. Some of the porches I was afraid to walk out on for fear they would fall off. Amazing details and even more amazing antiques. Lots of chairs. 4 floors to look through. How did they ever get the big pieces to the top floors? I just don't know enough about antiques to know if they are good deals, but many pieces were just stunning.

4 floors of antiques, it's like rummaging through years of family heirlooms in a run down Georgian mansion. The further up you go, the more it feels like you're getting a glimpse of a place you shouldn't be in. Personally enjoyed this more than the house tour at Andrew Low! Get to the top floor, and go out on the patio to get a glimpse of the grand school next door !

An antique store in the historic district that was originally a 5 story Victorian home. Every room is filled left to right with items found around the globe dating back to the 1700 and 1800s.

In addition to being an antique store, it's also a stop on one of the haunted tours in Savannah. While an incredibly neat stop, the store was filled to the brim. Think: hoarder's paradise, antique version (dust and all). What's more, the store lacked direction. It's easy to get lost and could be frightening if you were to get lost given it's spooky history. It's apparent why

We love to shop antique stores. More often than not, we find something to buy. We walked into this place excitedly and anxious to find that special something we couldn't live without. We weren't here for 5 minutes before the owner, Mr. Raskin, was so rude to us that we just left. We asked to see the upstairs and he told us it was not open. I wonder why he let all those other older people go up then? He went on to tell us that this was not a tour, it was an antique store! Well Mr. Raskin, we went out of our way to find your store and we were more than prepared to spend money! Nonetheless
