Hello, my name is Blake Wayson and I grew up right here in the Cedar Valley. I attended Luther College receiving a degree in Biology. I went on after Luther to attend the birthplace and fountainhead of Chiropractic, Palmer College in Davenport. We as Iowans are very lucky to have such a great school and the birthplace of the Chiropractic profession here in our own backyard.
I am so excited to be working for Wayson Family Chiropractic. It is such a privilege to work alongside the doctors, staff, patients and their families. I love seeing the impact that our patients experience through chiropractic care! I am a recent graduate of Hawkeye Community College where I received my Associate's Degree in General Education.
Our doctors are team Chiropractors for the University of Northern Iowa. During the football season Dr. Thad or Dr. Blake travel with the team and are on the sidelines in case Chiropractic is needed before, during, or after the game. Wayson Family Chiropractic also cares for other UNI, high school and area collegiate athletes from various sports including: mens and womens basketball, volleyball, swimming, soccer, and softball.

The idea behind Chiropractic is really quite simple. Our brain controls our entire body with constant messages. It tells our heart when to beat, our lungs when to breath, and our feet when to walk. The way it does this is through the nervous system. Our spinal cord is what carries these messages down the spinal column.

Dr Blake is exceptional and explains to you what the problem is and how he is going to fix it and then he fixes you, quickly. You will not have to wait in the waiting room, you will not have to wait for the doctor, and they will not try to get you to come in 2, 3, 4, or 5 times a week or a month. You let them know how you are feeling and you schedule how often and when you need to come in, no pressure, none, zero. This guy is a reputable practitioner.

They have a true desire to help their patients, even if it means looking for a non-chiropractic solution. My daughter started suddenly having headaches, which she had never had issues with before. Since the headaches persisted, I took her to the chiropractor, hoping that adjusting her neck would resolve the problem. After several adjustments that hadn’t helped the headaches, Dr. Wayson took a closer look at her x-ray and saw some possible inflammation around her wisdom teeth, which he mentioned could be the cause of the headaches. He recommended we ask our dentist if he thought she needed her
