Dr. Colibazzi is a board-certified psychiatrist (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or ABPN) with expertise in psychopharmacology and various types of individual psychotherapy, couples therapy and sex therapy. Dr. Colibazzi is Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University and he is affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Dr. Colibazzi is also trained as a psychoanalyst and certified by the American Board of Psychoanalysis (ABPsa). As in anything that matters, it is important to choose wisely when it comes to mental health. Dr. Colibazzi received his medical degree (M.D.) from the Catholic University of Rome, Italy. After working for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), he went on to train in Psychiatry at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident. He later moved to Columbia University and completed a clinical research fellowship in mood and anxiety disorders.
