We've probably dined at Cheffie's Cafe 5-6x in the last several years. I mention this because we recently tried to use a Door Dash deal through our Chase card that was set to expire at the end of 2021. The first night we ordered through Cheffie's through door dash we arrived at a closed restaurant. Ok--probably not their fault. We attempted again the following night. Our order was ready for pickup per the app, but they told us they were out of chicken when we arrived. So our food for the second night wasn't ready. Still understandable right. Had read another reviewer's suggestion about requesting a "rough chop" when ordering a salad and the review was spot on.
Got the Greek Salad - opted for the smaller size as the larger was more family-sized. Great-tasting salad (made a Happy Bowl)! Will definitely be back to try more from their menu!

I never write reviews but I live around the corner and this is a spot I go to a lot. I've found hair in my salad twice in a row and it is extremely gross. I also one time watched as what looked like their entire inventory of deli meats sat on that back bar table for 15+ minutes. I get that' they are overwhelmed during lunch hours but the hair and flies grossed me out big time. Hair nets management?

This cafe is a nice, open dining space, which was particularly comforting during covid-times. It's hard to go wrong here. The menu is robust, and you can design your own salad/etc. I can speak specifically to the curried chicken salad. First, they give you a ton (a TON) of greens. It was enough for me to have multiple meals. Second, the curried chicken salad was delicious. Cheffie's is definitely a choice that I will work into my rotation when I want something easy and healthy.

Wow! I don't know why it took me so long to try this place out! Way, WAY better than Wild Beet. We ended up getting the Tuscan chicken sandwich (you have the option of toasting it or not), the Chicken Ceasar Salad, and the Santa Fe salad. The quantity was incredible for how much our food was. Extremely fresh ingredients and awesome packaging for to-go orders. Oh, and the staff is extremely friendly.
Our only complaint was we insisted on our sandwiches to be toasted - that was a fail on their part. We also didn't know the chicken was deli meat, but that's okay. Sandwich 8/10, both

Great food, as always! Customer service wasn't so good. One of the employees treated us as if she didn't feel like taking care of us and had an attitude (also had AirPods in). I wasn't happy with my salad and she said she couldn't fix it (in the process of making it) because it came that way. Will only be back for the food

In the middle of a cross-country road trip, the chopped salad Cheffie's Cafe was a welcome respite from days of diner food & take out. They have tons of options - from preset salads to build your own. Once you've picked out your salad ingredients, they hand the bowl over to someone for extra chopping & mixing (this is the critical step that takes any salad from good to great). It's a popular lunch spot, but the line moves quickly. Highly recommend this if you're in the area!

I've heard great things about Cheffie's for years and I finally got a chance to check it out. I walked in just in time at the beginning of the lunch rush and didn't have a long wait. I was impressed by the fresh options and decided on the curry chicken salad, that I had on a ciabatta roll. I was excited by all the choices I could put on my sandwich and some didn't make sense, but they were all fresh and tasty nonetheless. Okay how nerdy is this.. just feel me for a few.. okay.. here we go!! So one of my very best friends lives 2 minutes from me down N. Highland. So I run to her house then she and I will walk or run to get food! Enough about J.T. Let's talk about this amazzzziiinnnggg place in Highpoint T. They have the best, most crisp, fresh as you can get, natural/organic items to go in or on the salad, and the homemade dressings are out of this world. I build my own salad only because I'm a bougie queen.. then at the end they ask if you want your salad chopped!! I know I know I was so in awe as well

Great people. Great, healthy food. The best place in Memphis for salads. Everyone who works here is super kind and helpful. COVID hasn't changed that a bit. They are still helpful and kind. They are working hard to keep everyone safe too. They clean the tables very well after every customer. It's a great place to eat.

I stopped in Cheffie's on my way to a client meeting and after not eating all day. I was looking for a little something to put in my stomach. It was Absolutely delicious! The soup was amazing and hit the spot. I wanted to order a salad but didn't have time. I love places that offer fresh veggies that you can customize how you like. I'll definitely be back!!!

When I picked it up I saw the wonderful selection of salad greens and toppings. But, got home and my salad was chopped (to bits), and the dressing was way overdone. BTW, I had asked for dressing on the side - also ignored.
So I didn't like my salad at all - ended up throwing most of it out. But I will try them again, only this time made to order as I am standing there. Perhaps that way they will listen to me.

Had the crunchy roast beef. I am still trying figure out why roast beef is in the name. There was so little meat in the sandwich that I couldn't even taste it. For a $9.00 sandwich it should be piled high. Skip this place if you want a sandwich as advertised. You are better off going to a Firehouse or Jimmy Johns.

I was really blown away by this place! I own a cookbook that the owner supposedly wrote but the workers weren't sure so maybe I'm just crazy. Regardless, this place is all about the salads! Even their smaller sized salads are still huge and still delicious. Nom nom nom! Their other food items aren't so large or as impressive, though, so be prepared for that. I made my sandwich into a panini style and it was good but what really stands out is the salad. If your a first timer, the ordering process can be a bit intimidating. Take your time and figure out what you want on your salad or sandwich so you will be completely satisfied with your food. Hannah was very welcoming and patient as I decided what to order. All the meats,bread and trimming were very fresh. I ordered half sandwich and a salad. Well let me tell you, the salad portion is huge. Two people can share the salad. This was the first time I have ever been ask if I wanted my salad chopped. My Greek salad and turkey sandwich was tasty. My husband enjoyed his sandwich as well.
