Parlour is an individual hair studio created and operated by Master Stylist and Cosmetology Educator, Amanda Richter. Located in the historic downtown district of Washington, North Carolina within The Hub on Main Street located at 126 W Main St. Parlour offers an alternative to the distractions that come with the traditional salon atmosphere by providing a private, peaceful setting for both women and men.
I began my journey with The Aveda Institute in Columbus, Ohio, finishing the strict program to earn and pass the State Board Licensing Exam. After my initial schooling, I was fortunate enough to be hired by one of the top Salons in the world. During the intense year long training I earned the title Master Stylist.

Yes!!! I am so excited to have found Amanda! She was referred to my husband and I by two of her other clients. Moving to a new area, the anxiety that comes from finding a hair stylist is immense. The excitement of finding a great one, is also immense.

I had never met Amanda, found her online. I was so stressed from having my hair professional done & it wasnt right. I was in tears. She rearranged her schedule to get me in, on a Sunday !! And she did it exactly how I wanted it. By the same pictures I had shown the previous hair stylist. She calmed me down, listened to me. I was so grateful, thankful for all she did for me. I recommend her highly & will be back.

Amanda is awesome!! She is very easy to talk to and able to elicit exactly what you want your hair to look like when you leave. Not only does she cut my hair, but also my my Dad's and my son's. I can't complain about the free beer that comes with your hairstyle either. Her online appointment scheduling makes it super easy to get in to see her. This is just the easiest, best experience getting my hair done that I've ever had!

This was the best experience I have ever had when getting my haircut. When you walk in you are greeted in a friendly manner. The stylist starts by asking you how you want your hair and helps you get your hair to a fashion you like. This is also one of the only places in Washington that offers straight razor shaves. The environment is really relaxed and comfortable. I would highly suggest this place to anyone.

Amanda is the best! If you've never had a straight razor shave, you have to try It. Amanda has perfect hours, being open later than normal business hours. Setup appointment online thru the site was super easy. And the studio she's in is really nice, great place. This is the only place I go to get my hair cut, beard trim and shaves.
