Services
Asphalt is a combination of approximately 95% stone, sand, or gravel (aggregate) bound together by liquid asphalt, a product of crude oil. The aggregate serves as the wear course and the liquid asphalt is the "glue" that holds it all together. Liquid asphalt is a solid at ambient temperature. When heated to roughly 300 degrees, the liquid asphalt becomes liquid which allows for the aggregate and the liquid asphalt to be combined and mixed.

Today Luke's Asphalt Removed the existing Asphalt walking trails at the Horseshoe Bend In Canyon Lake and Repaved a wider walking path. We finished the day installing a new asphalt parking pad. Today Luke's Asphalt added base and asphalt to this driveway in Canyon Lake, Texas.

Luke’s Asphalt and Paving wasn’t the most expensive, but they weren’t the cheapest quote.
The driveway expansion work was done in December 2020. Dallas Luke explained that they would wait to have to reseal until the weather got hotter in March or April 2021.
I was not here when the work was done and Dallas was not here either when the work was done, but my wife was and my neighbor also watched them.
When I got home from work that evening, I immediately noticed spots that were chipped out of my existing asphalt driveway as a result of the bobcat going up and down the driveway. Additionally

I see loads of great reviews, but I can’t get Luke’s to give me a quote despite multiple phone calls. Called them, spoke with a nice lady—the following day a guy named “Dallas” called me—he was at my property and saw what was needed. Said he’d send me a quote. Days go by...crickets. I call Luke’s twice to see if there’s maybe an issue with my contact info. The nice lady finally calls back and says Dallas will have me the quote by end of business. That was two days ago. As much as I’d like to see if Luke’s is really a five star company, I’m going to have to keep looking for

Ours was a small job, just doubling the size of an existing driveway. The quote was reasonable but Dallas explained that it could be weeks until they could do the job, so that they could use asphalt and crew the same day as other smaller jobs.
A few weeks later the crew arrived -- on the hottest day of the year so far (102F) -- and in just 3 hours prepared the ground, spread base rock, and paved. I was impressed by the teamwork and professionalism.

The team at Luke's Asphalt was extremely professional from start to finish on our project. The survey and bidding process was clear and simple. The estimated the work would take 3-4 days and they completed it in less than 3. The quality of the work is outstanding and better than competitors were quoting me. Billy Luke would not return my phone calls and would not communicate with Tex Dot on their requests to meet. When I left him a message that we were going to hire another contractor for the job he hadn't started, he began to send hateful and nasty text messages. This man is very unprofessional.
After I informed other people in the area who had used his services, they all told me they were glad I Didn't hire him because he had done a terrible job with their asphalt. They said it had cracked and had dips everywhere. STAY CLEAR of this highly temperamental individual and his asphalt company
