We look forward to helping you get back to an active lifestyle by restoring your orthopedic health. Let Dr Gerken know I went skiing in Breckenridge CO this past weekend and my knee did awesome! I didn't cross country ski but I did ski the slope for the 1st time in my life! I highly recommend Dr. Tuder.

Arthroscopic surgery can be used to address pathology in nearly every joint of the body and is often utilized to treat athletes with sports related injuries. Arthroscopic Surgery involves the use of small incisions around a joint to facilitate a minimally invasive procedure utilizing a camera, video monitor, and highly specialized instruments.
Joint Preservation Surgery aims to restore movement to your joints, decrease pain, and potentially delay the need for joint replacement procedures. These procedures are used to address focal deficits to the cartilage, which are often the result of acute trauma.
Arthroscopic procedures can be used to graft donor cartilage or transplant autologous (patient's own) cartilage from non-critical portions of the joint to those that are essential for pain free motion and weight bearing.Alternatively, a patient's cartilage cells can be harvested for culture outside the body and are later transplanted back to the defective area.

Joint Replacement Surgery (also referred to as Joint Arthroplasty) involves the removal of the damaged cartilaginous surfaces of a joint through carefully planned cuts of the bone utilizing specialized guides sized to each individual patient. These cuts facilitate the placement of a replacement joint through the use of a biocompatible metal cap and interposed plastic (polyethylene) spacer.
Alamo Orthopedics understands fracture care: our highly skilled surgeons have dedicated their practices to offering the latest and most advanced techniques for fracture care management. Nobody told me I needed physical copies of my X-rays and MRI. They will not accept faxed documents or links so I have now canceled my appointment to reschedule an orthopedic procedure that’s long overdue and none of the appointment times work with my work schedules. I’m a paying patient in pain and there needs to be better communication along with transferring of released copies of X-rays and MRI’s from one medical center to the next. It’s unnecessary for me to pay for another X-ray and MRI if I already have them done. I just need the procedure done so I can live regularly and be pain free

Dr. Tuder is an amazing Provider. That’s why I gave 5 stars. But I must agree with the other comments. The front desk staff especially the check in lady is not very friendly and made me feel like we were not welcomed. I am a Health Care Provider and no patient should come into a medical office that services they are paying for feel like they are bothering the staff. Please do better.
