Laura was so amazing to work with as she helped us navigate our first property we sold as a business. She was very thorough in gathering information for us when we were listing, for comparing other properties, and she was always quick to report back whenever we had questions through out the sale. I can't say enough about Ellen Bartos and her company, Delap Real Estate -- they really know the local market. She worked with us reliably and consistently to sell our house, in a market in which there was not much demand. In the end, though, through her skills and experience, Ellen found buyers and closed the deal for us. We have been house hunting for over a year, and met Laura on one of our first showings when we started the process.
We didn’t have a realtor, but she clicked with my wife and I right away, and we began a very long search together.
We had a few major bumps in the road, when we had to stop looking and start again, and then when we had offers fall through or inspections not come back the way we hoped.
Through the entire process, Laura was patient and extremely helpful, and kept trying to help us.
We looked at over 40 properties, and finally found the right one which we just closed on.

I spoke with my buddy about the response from Delap real estate after he posted his previous review about Delap mishandling his rental. It's pretty astonishing. Delap actually asked him to remove the review without disputing any of it and said the he was "clearly unreasonable and out of line" when he just followed the law with deductions after damage. About $500 in damages was deducted and the tenant never disputed any of it. By MA law if he did anything wrong tenants could have gotten the security deposit back times three. (MA law strongly protects tenants.) And the only good

I recently went through a nightmare of a real estate sale, followed by a purchase, and I used Dennis Delap both times as seller and buyer's agent. The words that immediately come to mind are:
1. Incredibly trustworthy. I've always been suspicious of real estate agents, and even more so after seeing what some of the others did during my recent transactions. Dennis is beyond reproach, and truly works in his client's interests. He cares.
