The Gannett Peak Lodge in Pinedale Wyoming was renovated from barracks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. For a few dollars and the cost to remove the barracks, several people from Pinedale purchased and moved the former CCC barracks for businesses, such as this Lodge. This Motel opened in 1953.
The Historic GANNETT PEAK LODGE is named after Wyoming's highest peak located deep within the Wind River Range. The GPL is the choice for the CDT thru hikers and cyclists: we offer free bikes, and temporary clothing while we wash their laundry. The Gannett Peak Lodge in Pinedale Wyoming is a recently refurbished lodging choice at the base of the Wind River Range.

Pleasantly surprised. This hotel is conveniently located to all that Pinedale has to offer. The updates to the rooms are well appointed and allow for a very comfortable stay. While the rooms are smaller than normal, the outdoor seating, gracious staff, and charm of the hotel make up for it. Definitely will stay again!

Spent several days here in August/September 2021. Nice, Clean & laid back. Staff was great, the owner (gentleman) was a little uptight, but so be it probably just having a bad day? Great location to set you up for the Wind River Range & Beautiful backcountry. Plenty to do within walking distance as well.

We always try to stay away from chain motels. Gannett Peak Lodge is a beautifully restored and maintained historic motel in a perfect location off the main drag within walking distance to restaurants and the visitor center. The rooms were clean and cosy. Housekeeping folks were great. Hanging enormous flower baskets and outside seating…the place was great.

We spent two nights at this lodge. The room was very small but very clean and had everything we needed including a mini fridge & coffee maker with all supplies. The front stoop had two chairs, a table and the most beautiful hanging baskets of flowers. Some of the rooms are right on the street, but it was never noisy. If we stayed again, I would request to be in the courtyard.
You're in walking distance to restaurants and downtown.
Forrest and Sofia do a great job of welcoming you and making sure you have everything you need. Keep in mind there is no AC, but that is not usually a problem. The

My friend and I were traveling through and could not have found a more perfect spot for us. Mind you, we are 23 and we're camping/backpacking through Wyoming. We just needed a cheap clean room with a bed. This spot exceeded our expectations because the incredibly friendly staff took us out that night and we had an absolute blast. Awesome Chinese food close by too :) Thanks for the memories O and M :)

Stayed for one night. Power goes out. I know it's not their fault due to the storm, but they had someone come around and hand out a glow stick per room. One glowstick. Should have a better back up plan. The website says they have AC. A fan is not AC. the lamp shade also had stains. Also, nobody at the main office. This is , at best, a $50 motel.
