In his honor, it was originally named Jackson Bohemian Brewery, but was later shortened first to Jax Beer, and then finally to Jackson Brewing Company. The brewery was founded by Lawrence Fabacher, Sr. in 1890 at 600 Decatur Street after a long process of choosing a location. It remains today as a noteworthy landmark in New Orleans.

I was the MOB planning a wedding with my daughter. Terry, Lane and the entire Jaxson staff were fantastic to work with. The Jaxson venue is gorgeous, the food is fantastic and showcases many New Orleans specialties, and there are so many value-adds that made my daughter’s wedding extra special. The bridal suite is lovely, the A/V features add a nice touch, and the outdoor space overlooking the Mississippi River is so nice, space you just can’t get anywhere else in the French Quarter. Finally, Anthony manages all of the details and deliveries and is on site during the event to make sure everything

What a wonderful venue and team. We hosted our wedding at The Jaxson in December 2021 and it was incredible. We were concerned because we live overseas and had to do all of our planning from abroad. In fact, we had never seen the venue until we arrived during our wedding week. No one would have ever known as the team (Lane, Anthony, and Terry) did such an amazing job walking us through everything. Even the guests commented at how smoothly everything went and how the wedding flowed. The food was delicious, the venue was magical, the location was perfect, and the staff were so friendly. I recently coordinated a wedding at the Jaxson that had been rescheduled due to Covid and I can't praise them enough. The staff at The Jaxson was so accommodating and went above and behind for us. They never asked us to pay them more for moving the date like I heard other venues were doing. Everything about the wedding, including the food was perfect! Mr Terry, Anthony, and the staff were all excellent! All the guest had an amazing time! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!!

My husband and I randomly stumbled upon The Jaxson in the fall of 2018 while we were walking in the French Quarter. We thought it was beautiful and on a whim decided to book it for a destination spot, knowing no more than it looked nice. After 5 changed wedding dates, we were finally able to have our wedding this October. We had a wonderful time, and looking back we can't think of a single thing we wish went differently. The Jaxson was beautiful, conveniently located for guests, fun and understanding. If given the opportunity to do it again, we wouldn't change a thing and we would definitely choose

The Jaxon, an amazing upscale spacious venue in NOLA. The venue is perfectly located In the French quarters. There’s an amazing view of the Mississippi river & the French quarters all in one location right on Decatur Street. If you truly want to wow your guest with amazing New Orleans cuisine, this is the place to be. The staff was amazing very friendly and helpful. The bar and drinks was outstanding. I always recommend the Jaxon to my colleagues for all their special events.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They refused to return our money during a global pandemic. Stating it was not an "Act of God". Really?!? Than exactly what is it, needless to say we had to hire a lawyer. Pay close attention to these companies, that try to keep your money during a global pandemic.

Incredible views and structure combined with cuisine that encapsulates the heart, soul & spirt of New Orleans. Epic location overlooking the mighty mouth of the Mississippi steps away from Jackson square. I can think of no better way to have experienced with all senses the flavorful spirit of New Orleans. I would like to first applaud all the staff members who were involved the night of the Edmondson Wedding. The team at the Jaxson were incredible! Very thorough and attentive during the whole process and made the planning process incredibly easy. The food was a highlight of the event - it really showcased the venue. Tray our main contact (who was extremely professional) was a dream to work with. The night of the wedding everyone had the best time - everything ran smoothly and to be honest we were under no impression that anything would have run other than perfectly! My husband and I were married at the Jaxson on 09.23.2017. I waited a month from our wedding to write a review, two weeks from The Jaxson's and my's last email. While our wedding was beautiful, the time and effort were not put in accordingly as the weddings before. The day before the wedding, as per our contract, I was told to be on time for the rehearsal, or else I would be charged a late fee. THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR OUR REHEARSAL. THIS IS THEIR JOB. They were not there to take in my items, nor direct the rehearsal, as, they were getting paid to do. Months before, I was given a timeline
