Honestly I walked into Austin Mail Express being told that Greg was incredible and provided exceptional customer service. I was shipping a package for a family friend who is a reoccurring customer at this store. Not only did Greg stop helping me midway through he also dismissed me and became increasingly upset creating an awkward situation for me, another customer, and a member on his staff. What Greg doesn't know is that I own a small business and had begun to ask the other employee questions regarding their shipping services. I will never use Austin Mail Express after my experience today

This is the BEST place to ship anything. It's 20ish min away from me and I will definitely be going here anytime I need to ship something - it's that great. The place feels relaxed and incredibly local, such a nice break from places now a days, they really care about the customer. I had FANTASTIC customer service the entire time - I had a few different things to ship out and they helped with each item quickly and even helped me to print out another thing I needed unrelated to my shipping stuff.
It was no joke the best shipping experience I've had I can't recommend this place enough.

Greg and his team are amazing. In the world of constant home delivery and the need to return items from time to time I have no idea what we would do without him. Once you establish an account with him, you never really need to think twice about the best way to send something. (I'm even more thoughtful about sending stuff to my girls in college because Greg makes it so easy)

It's Christmas time and it was only a little crowded as they got people in/out SUPER FAST. There was never a "long line" or anything. I cant believe their speed !!... and had 15 things going on and Greg and his co-worker (Very pretty Hispanic lady) was kind / patient and very polite nice!!! I really think Greg and crew are really Angels sent to help us all ! GOD BLESS Greg, his family and his staff! Just as Joanne had mentioned below in a different review, we need to bring him and his staff some breakfast tacos or lunch or SOMETHING for helping us out of a jam time and time again ! LOVE these people

Horrible customer service from the owner, Greg. He’s rude & condescending. After my experience, I spoke with a neighbor who told me he’s heard nothing but negative reviews about this guy. Multiple stories of him driving away business, scaring off customers, etc. there’s another postal store in the area with far better service. I’ll never be back!

Had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life in this store. The owner, Greg, snapped at the woman in front of me & spoke condescendingly down to her. Then refused to answer my very simple questions (ie: "do you gift wrap?")
Then buried his head in his hands exasperated. When I very politely said "excuse me?" Regarding his attitude & demeanor, he tried to corner me in his store. I packed my things up & told him I was taking my business elsewhere. He tried to grab me as a walked out of the store & screamed at me.

Dropped off an Amazon return a few times and I'm always am given a hard time. I've heard things such as "you couldn't find a smaller box" and "do you not see the sign and cart over there?" He gets a lot of great reviews on here and perhaps he just doesn't like amazon returns? My wife has had the same experience with him. We now go to the postmark place on Slaughter and Escarpment for all our shipping needs.

Like all the wonderful reviews, I have to also chime in and tell you how exceptional this place (and the owner) is with our packages (multiple times). His customer service, kindness and patience is incredible!! We just stopped by today (and he has been closed for nearly an hour) and he still let my wife slip into the store and mail something out right before Christmas! He has helped us in the past and his kindness and "got it done" attitude is a rare thing in today's world.
God has given us all a gift ....and it is this man and his awesome mailing store. He is SO MUCH MORE

I don't usually enjoy mailing something. But I do when I come here and I see Greg. He remembers me, asks who this package may be going to and understands - with no judgement - my laziness to actually package anything.
We have several options to mail down here in SW ATX. For me, there's only one -- this one!

The customer service here is top notch! Unlike other shipping places I've been to, Greg is up for ANY shipping tasks you throw at him. Anything from mailing a letter to shipping a dining room table, or in my case a rear-end for a car, Greg will get you taken care of! I wish every business could provide the same level of customer service that Greg provides.

This place is fabulous. Although I rarely spend anything there (I do all my packing and printing of labels in my office), dropping off FedEx, UPS or PO materials here is always a pleasure.
With shipping packages having as much competition as there is today, it's nice to be able to learn the options.
