Throughout the years we haven't only just repaired cars, we have been servicing second and third family generations that trusts us with their family vehicles. In 1971, Fred Stier opened Shadetree Foreign Car, a Volkswagen-only repair garage. Nearly fifty years later, Shadetree-now Shadetree Automotive-still provides quality service to the residents of San Clemente.
Rodd is a transplant from Michigan were grew up working in his dads Chrysler dealership as a technician. Since moving to San Clemente, Rodd has worked as a service writer and Technician. Rodd Joined our team in 2016 where he performs Service Advisor duties as well as technical backup for the technicians.

Shadetree auto is the best car maintenance service! I live in Fallbrook and it is worth the drive to do business with them. They have taken amazing care of my 100,00 mile Kia Soul. Dan is so friendly and professional. All of the mechanics are knowledgeable. As a "car illiterate" female I appreciate their expertise and never feel like I have been taken advantage of.

Dan at Shadetree is the absolute best! He is knowledgeable and honest. I have brought all of my vehicles to Shadetree for the past 6 years. Initially, I took my car there on the recommendation of a friend who has been satisfied with Shadetree’s service for many more years than I have. Shadetree does great work for fair prices which they tell you upfront. If they don’t provide a certain service, they are upfront about that too and provide referrals that they trust.

I called Dan at 2:30PM on a Tuesday afternoon. Battery issues I thought on my CRV -2016. Dan said "come on down, $185.00 in and out the door." What count me in. 15 minutes and I was on the road again. My daughter, son in law have used this service prior and we all L O V E Dan at Shadetree. Try it out tell um Niece sent you.

These guys are awesome. Super fast, even with last minute issues. I needed my wheel bearing fixed ASAP and they managed to squeeze me in and fix it the same day. They’re local and awesome! Reasonably priced, very efficient, communication on point and very reliable. I don’t think I’ll take my vehicle to get serviced anywhere else moving forward. Thank you guys!
