Services
There are essentially three ways to pay for long term care. You can pay with your own funds ("private pay"). You can have an insurance company pay pursuant to a long term care policy. Or you can qualify for Medicaid which is a joint federal-state program that subsidizes long term care. Some certainty and peace of mind can be realized for those who purchase long-term care insurance.
Rampino Law, Ltd. does estate, tax and retirement planning for clients of all ages and circumstances. This includes the drafting of wills, trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, as well as long-term care and disability planning where appropriate. The firm offers a complimentary consultation during which the particular family circumstances, resources, income and goals of the client are carefully evaluated.
At Rampino Law, we are acutely aware of the challenge of planning the future for a loved one with special needs. We have extensive experience with special needs planning and understand the public benefits programs on which people with special needs often rely.

We are certain that you only want the best for your family and loved ones in Rhode Island, and we also know that people with special needs and disabilities require not only our compassion, but also specialized services. If you need assistance applying and qualifying for Medicaid in RI, or composing a comprehensive care plan for your loved one with special needs, we are ready to help.
Rampino Law, Ltd. represents clients seeking guardianship and conservatorship of relatives who can no longer manage their personal or financial affairs and assists family members in fulfilling the duties imposed by these new roles. If no family member is willing or available to fill this role, our attorneys act as guardian or conservator on a temporary or permanent basis.
Rampino Law, Ltd. prepares the Medicaid application and submits it to the appropriate long-term care unit of the Rhode Island Department of Human Services. We handle all communications with the DHS, thereby removing the individual as much as possible from the tedious and often frustrating application process.

First of all, we wish to say that we are pleased with our choice of Rampino Law for our specific legal needs. The entire staff is always friendly professional, and willing to help us. And Mr. Rampino is very knowledgeable in the specific areas of the law that we are dealing with. He is very good in keeping us focused on the things we need to be aware of now, and the things we need to be aware of later on. Our most recent visit focused on issues that affect us now and looking forward. Mr. Rampino was terrific in pointing out where we are at now and where we may be in the future. Where necessary

Very professional from start to finish. I used Ken's firm to draw up estate documents for my brother. Even though I am out of state, Ken made it very easy to communicate through Zoom and with follow up emails. Everything went smoothly and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Ken's firm for any legal needs you may have that he covers. Thank you Ken!

Lawyer was very helpful and patient. Answered all of our questions with clarifying answers. He was not "pushy". Seemed honestly concerned about finding the best solution for my parents predicament.

My husband and I needed to have our will and other estate planning documents made. Ken @ Rapino Law was wonderful. We had two meetings with Ken via Zoom to outline what we needed and check the documents followed by one in-person session to sign the documents. Ken was thorough, detailed, and offered great advice. We were glad we found Rampino Law and was extremely pleased with the service.

Ken and Lori helped me manage my Aunt's RI Estate. Eleven years ago, now, they helped me manage my father’s Estate and it was a very good experience. Thusly, when I was in a similar situation of having to manage another RI estate while living in NC, I immediately thought of them. They proved again that my confidence was well founded. EVERYTHING was managed promptly and efficiently, both were lovely to talk to, felt like talking to a friend. They made what was a difficult situation easily manageable. I very highly recommend them

Mr Rampino and his staff are the most compassionate and knowledgeable firm for elder care issues in the state. We appreciate all he did for us during a difficult year. I had every confidence in Ken, that my mother in law would get settled in the appropriate housing, be happy and make new friends. We can not thank you enough for everything you have done Ken.

My wife and I recently worked with Rampino Law, Ltd. to update our estate documents. We greatly enjoyed our interactions with Attorney Ken Rampino. He was excellent at explaining various aspects of the law to us in layperson's terms and answering our many questions throughout the process. We felt the time frame for the process (start to finish) was just right - we had enough time to review the various draft documents, prepare our questions, and hold a Zoom meeting to discuss and finalize things. We didn't feel rushed or pressured throughout the process - and on the other hand, the process didn

We met with three different lawyers who do wills and related documents. Ken was by far the most professional and easiest to deal with. And the documents are all in readable english rather than obscure legalese.
