The dermatology professionals at Calais Dermatology Associates are pleased to welcome you to our practice. Gloria Marchand is an Advanced Practical Nurse Practitioner, board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. There she was inducted into the Epsilon Nu chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Gloria's medical experience as a registered nurse includes eight years in Rehabilitation and Post Anesthesia Care at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
John Brantley, MD continues to adopt and refine the latest technologies to ensure our patients the most effective skin and hair treatments possible. IPL treatment improves the appearance of photo-aged skin, removes age spots, most benign brown pigments (melasma) through a process called photorejuvenation for face and body.
Cosmetic dermatology is a specialty addressing issues of skin rejuvenation. We can treat wrinkles, volume loss, hyperpigmentation, unsightly veins and unsightly hair. Currently we are accepting New Patients and can offer same day Dermatology Appointments. We are a member of most insurance plans but please call 225.766.5151 if you have any questions. All co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles are due at the time of service. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards.

Was such a better place when I had Dr. McEwen. I went the other day had 2 spots frozen by Dr. Brantley and they charged me 3 charges. One for the visit and One for $158.04 and One for $93.32... Rip off. Can't even charge the same amount per spot. Very Unhappy.. I've been there in the past when I have had several items frozen/removed and never got charged like that We will move elsewhere.

I’ve been going to Dr. John B. Brantley for over 10 years. Appointments were easy to book, Calais Dermatology offers a text message method to confirm your appointment date & time ,which is convenient and serves as reminder .Dr. Brantley’s assistant Lauren greeted me and showed to the examination room ,she was very professional & friendly while conducting her part of the exam & prep’ing & documentation process of my biopsy samples .Dr.Brantley is very personable & professional ,easy to discuss your dermatology issues with ,and answered my questions /concerns in understandable way ,he’s up

Dr. Brantley is so sweet and caring! He’s gentle and listens and always has a smile on his face. The office is so warm and welcoming and very calm and professional. His staff always greets you with a smile and you certainly can tell they love their jobs and it’s not just “work”. Thanks for taking care of me and my mom over the years! Will send anyone I know your way.

20 minutes late... drove 3 an half hours just to get here all to be turned around. They didn't care that we drove the time frame we did. No it's about $. True Doctors understand time frame and traffic especially when you drive 3 and half hours... for NOTHING. I DO NOT suggest this place. We just wanted to be seen. We didnt ask to cut in on anyone else time I drove almost 4 hours, I would have sat an waited for my 4 year old to be seen. Not to mention this appt has been set for over a month... dont go here.

A coworker recommended me here, waste of time I had conner Patterson he didn't really seem to care about my reason for coming he basically told me to just get some over the counter stuff and call it a day he didn't ask questions, he wasn't to concerned about what was I using on my skin or what I should and shouldn't use the visit was so quick I could have stayed home I'll never go back! I'm African American and definitely didn't feel he cared

I wish I could give no star at all. The doctor McEwin was horrible. He didn't want to help me with my skin issues he said that their was nothing he can do. I feel like I was discriminated against bc I was black and felt so out of place. He didn't even recommend me to another doctor and I paid a co pay for nothing. So any black people don't go to this place the doctors will not help you and they don't live up to nothing they say on the website. They say they can help any skin problem u have well that's a lie. I got pigmentation and he didn't even want to help me lighten my melasma and acanthus Nigeria
