They treated me extremely rudely, also. Incompetence and inconsistent in their statements. If anyone else receives treatment like this from them in the future and is looking for good representation on an violation of civil rights under the ADA, please consider contacting Disability Rights California in Sacramento- they are a non-profit organization charged by the state of California with protecting individuals like Sarah from people like this.

I am totally with you Sarah. My husband and I tried to rent a unit from Simmons. The Asian lady Ally is completely rude. First they ran a credit report on me using some useless company that showed me having something false. I then went to Experian, the top credit check company and they showed nothing. My husband had the same problem. We have receipts and everything including reccomendations from all our past landlors and she said "its coincidental that both credit checks are wrong." at least when we prove it wrong admit to mistake. Then she started lecturing me on how i cant have

Simmons Real Estate should be put out of business. They do not follow federal housing laws and are very rude people. I was looking for an apartment and viewed a unit that they were managing - the lady who showed it to me was nice and helpful up until I told her that I have a service animal for a disability. I was told that this was a huge problem as the complex does not allow pets. I informed her that under the Americans with Disability Act my service animal and I are protected by Federal and State laws and that under Fair Housing they cannot deny me and my service animal to apply or live in
