After a monster sized olive oil spill on our driveway (which was already overdue for some attention), I called Sikes Asphalt and Jake came by the house to have a look. It was just the kind of visit you hope for from a contractor - expert advice, a few options, not trying to up-sell you; just genuinely trying to help get things fixed up. They were able to quickly schedule a new seal coat for the driveway, which included cleaning up the oil and other stains. Wow, does it look sharp! And for what I thought was a very reasonable price. A year ago Sikes Aslhalt redid our shared driveway. It was in very poor condition after years of neglect, invading roots, and harsh weather. Working with Jake and his crew went very smoothly. All the neighbors who share the drive were happy with the bid, preparation of the site and the final outcome - a beautiful new approach to all our homes. Then came this years atmospheric river and pounding rains. Unfortunately Sikes Asphalt does not follow through with their jobs, so I am forced to give a one star review.
My business planned for our parking lot to be redone, made all the necessary arrangements and were canceled on at the last minute because another job had taken priority.
When we finally got a call back we were met with a dismissive and rude attitude- the last thing you want to hear when paying thousands of dollars for a job. I do not recommend this business.

Sikes Asphalt - Best of the Best! Performance, Price & Quality of their work was outstanding. From the office to the job site every person was professional, personable, dedicated and diligent in the completion of this 6000 sq ft asphalt trail project which required difficult access in uneven, wet terrain. We were referred to Sikes Asphalt and contacted them for a small encroachment job. They responded right away and met at the site to do an estimate. They were able to work us into their schedule and the beautiful paving job was done in two weeks. We would recommend them for any paving job large or small.

Sikes did a fabulous job on our asphalt. Ours was a fire re-build and there were sections of asphalt that were still ok but we were really concerned about how their work would tie in with what was left. They made 2-3 site visits beforehand to make sure they were clear on what we wanted and needed, made helpful suggestions and were detailed in their estimate and scheduling. When they arrived to do the work, there was a whole crew of workers who really hustled. We had gotten less expensive bids from some other companies but we had seen Sikes' work and were quite impressed by their attention to detail

Heed caution using Sikes asphalt. Sikes does not install asphalt according to their written quote. They will quote you 4" thick asphalt (with two 2" lifts of asphalt) but will actually only give you one 2" lift when they are laying it with the paver. Also, they won't address any issues with the base layer. Base rock is what supports your asphalt. They will pave over unsupported base rock. I guess if you want your job to look like lipstick on a pig, by all means, use Sikes. They aren't the cheapest either for their lack of professionalism.... pretty much on par with the

We had a rather large project at Russian River Covered RV Storage in Healdsburg. There were some quirks that came along with this project as we were going over a very rough and broken chip seal surface. Sikes took great care with our almost 500 tenants that store their boats and RVs here. Prior to beginning the job Jake put a lot of thought in the planning from getting the driveways cleaned, measured properly and how we could do this with minimal interuption of business.
Everyone is so pleased with how smooth the driveways are to drive on and how much less dust we are all are dealing with.

This is a great company with which to do business. They came out and discussed options for sealing our driveway. They sent us an estimate with a fair price for the work we needed. We scheduled with them and they confirmed our appointment the day before. They arrived on time and did a fantastic job in a timely manner of filling in cracks with a substantial material and then applying a sealer. When dry, the driveway was all a consistent color. I am part of a HOA in Novato, and we used Sikes last year to redo our parking lot. I wanted to wait a while to write a review and see how things would hold up. I am happy to report that our parking lot still looks great, and the work was done very well.
The Sikes office and team were very easy to work with, and the only part that proved a challenge was the weather...you definitely have to be patient when dealing with asphalt....if it rains for a few days (or temperatures cool down), that will delay other jobs and everything will need to be rescheduled. In the end, there were no hidden/surprise
