We are in what the locals call "Underground Eureka". Our building was built in 1888, and at that time we were street level. There is a spring that runs underneath us that in the late 1800's kept flooding the street, thus the name "Mud Street". The centerpiece of our dining room is a turn of the century oak bar with beveled mirrors.

Traditional breakfast dishes, some new twists to old classics, fresh baked muffins, scones and cinnamon rolls as well as healthy choices such as our famous veggie hash browns. Perk up with our award-winning coffees and espresso drinks or choose from our ample selection of traditional and herbal teas.
Take a break from playing, shopping or seeing the sights for a delicious lunch in downtown Eureka Springs. Burgers, chicken breast sandwiches, hot & cold sandwiches, wraps, soup and salads are some of the many tasty menu choices that make us a favorite lunch time spot in Eureka Springs. Grilled, boneless, skinless chicken breast served on a grilled bun with lettuce, tomato, potato chips & a pickle.
We have a full bar and can operate as a cash bar, open bar or supply your guests with drink tickets. We offer several wines, but will be more than happy to special order anything we don't carry. We have a private dining room that can seat 50 people, or you can have the whole restaurant for up to 75.
Our coffees are shipped to us the day they are roasted and ground fresh each day for your drinking pleasure. We offer coffee by the pound, whole bean or ground. These selections include Central and South America, tend to be light to medium bodied, with floral and spice aromas and bright, clean flavors.

Fantastic spot for a delicious, quick breakfast and I do mean QUICK! It took them barely any time at all to get our food out to us once we ordered, and all of it tasted cooked to order not like it had been sitting out.
We went on a weekday which meant it wasn't as tough to get their famous blueberry pancakes - which are amazing by the way - but I'm told if you go on a weekend you should get there as early as possible to make sure you can try some before they run out.
Excellent food nice service and definitely a place we were happy we visited on our trip to Eureka Springs.

I had read great reviews and even saw a snippet of their restaurant on a YouTube Channel I support. After driving 4 hours and most of it in the snow, we swung by excited to try their breakfast. Not only was the waitress extremely rude and non attentive; she sat 3 other tables and had them all checked out before we ever had our food. She never offered a drink refill nor did she tell us about the free coffee available like she told everyone else. She did offer a free cold muffin after over an hour of us waiting for our food. The food was decent. The eggs weren’t cooked fully. 0/10 experience. Not

Morning drinks and breakfast was very well served. Food is exceptional, staff seemed very polite and timely; especially since they opened to a full house line waiting outside at 8am. A true gem of eureka. The basement style dwelling adds an atmosphere of warmth an possitve vids. The diversity of characters consists of locals and travels, making this joint a cultural melting pot.

Great service, great coffee. We had breakfast and really loved the garlic cheese grits and omelettes. I got an alpine white mocha coffee and it was AMAZING. Our server was great, super friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and at a perfect temperature. The building itself is quaint and quirky. It's charming, but could definitely use some updates to the furniture and wall decor. We were seated in a room underground that didn't have any windows. The stone walls were cool, but it felt a little cave-like without windows or nice wall decor to brighten up the space.

Excellent breakfast place with a good menu variety and great coffee. The decor is kind of eclectic and the service is very good. Our waitress, Jennifer, took great care of us and even recommended places to see while we're in town. She recommended the Mexican omelette (pictured) which was fantastic. Enough for breakfast AND lunch. My kids had the pancakes which were bigger than their heads!

This cafe was fantastic. We got in early on a Saturday morning and we're so glad we did. I headed for the coffee bar first thing then proceeded to order a Greek omelet. I was incredibly impressed when the food arrived. The ingredients were so fresh in the omelet, feta cheese, tender artichokes etc.. the fried red potatoes were seasoned to perfection. I remarked to my daughters that this cafe does not have a " cook", they have a " Chef"!! Perfection! When we finished our delicious breakfast as we walked out and up the stairs the entire flight of stairs was lined with hungry

Super hip, downstairs place in downtown Eureka Springs. We lived the ambiance and got seated at the sofa in the corner. It. Was. Perfect. We ordered drinks, Strawberry Sunshine with infused rum while my grrrl ordered the Blackbery Moonshine Lemonade. Both were delicious and strong. We paired our drinks with a slice of the chocolate cheesecake and were in dessert heaven!

Very nice tucked away basement restaurant that specializes in breakfast from what I could tell. The line was up the stairs from the restaurant entrance and out the door and around the corner of the hosting business front. Once we finally made our way to be seated (25 min later) we were whisked to our seat. This seemed to be a family owned business as workers from all ages were helping out. Our order was taken relatively fast and with a restaurant full of people our order was out in around 15min (wow). Two Mud City Breakfast orders, one sausage the other bacon. Order was delivered correct first

Mud Street Cafe was recommended by our Underground Tour guide. We went for breakfast. The coffee was excellent with salt, cinnamon, nutmeg & cocoa shakers. The breakfast was okay but not great. I had the Chef's scramble with bacon added. My boyfriend had a biscuit that he added sausage to that was supposed to be a bene type thing. It was an off taste on the sausage. He ended up eating the rest of my breakfast instead. Mine was good except the carrots and zucchini were out of place.
They did notice my boyfriend didn't eat his and promptly took it off our ticket and offered him something

(Vegan Reviewer) Highly recommend this place! I had the hummus salad - it was AMAZING!!! Fresh hummus made in house and had great flavor. They also have a veggie burger in the menu. Enjoyed excellent service and prices were low to moderate. Their coffee was also excellent and they have almond, coconut, and soy milk

Good local spot for breakfast. My husband ordered a pancake and it was the size of a PLATE! Holy cow. Good thing he planned to share it with me because it was ridiculously large.
I enjoyed a tasty breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. Since most breakfast sandwiches are on either bread or biscuits, this was a great change of pace.
Coffee is available at a self-serve bar. The usual choices: Dark, Medium, Flavored and Decaf. Perfect!

First off you have to pay for parking, I'm assuming they go by the honor system and I only had a $50 bill so I had to go inside to change and I told her I only needed to pay this then I would be in with 5 people, she said that would be fine. I went out to pay the parking which was a sketchy looking metal box from 50 years ago another car just pulls up and walks inside (obviously didn't pay for parking) they go inside and then we end up right behind them, the lady seats them immediately then looks at me and says sorry it's going to be about 20 mins... I'm like I just told you

Stumbled upon the outside seating at Mud Street Cafe. It's a really unassuming little outside area (basically in a parking lot) which was perfect for me as I had my dog. The staff was friendly and brought my order to the table.
I got the hummus salad which was a really unique salad experience. The hummus came loaded on top with fresh veggies and olives. They serve it with rye bread and an amazing balsamic on the side.
I'd definitely recommend this place for a light, yummy lunch. And highly recommend it if you have a furry friend with you.

This was our first time in Eureka Springs and we wanted to find a cute hole on the wall place for breakfast. You have to go down stairs to get to the place, which makes it unique. You can tell the building is old and rich with history. The walls are all old rock and the wood beams give it a nice vibe. Our host promptly seated us and walked us through all of the COVID guidelines. Anytime we walked around we needed to put our masks on and we were allowed to take them off once we put in our orders.
We were seated far apart from other tables so I felt very safe dining in.

If your whole party isn't there they won't seat you. And if there are only 2 of you, don't ask (during busy times anyway) to sit at a bigger table. They are SUPER efficient but also super nice! The food is amazing and the portions are huge. I know they have an unlimited coffee that you serve yourself (even after you sit down) for a flat price. If you drink coffee while you wait or drink multiple cups in one sitting then it might be ideal for you!
