Jack learned to run heavy equipment while working in the woods as a logger and while helping to develop the Mount Abram Ski area that his family owned years ago. Jack began to take on other projects and officially formed Cross Excavation. A few short years later Jack's wife Sue joined the company and business really began to grow.

Services
We can bring our grinder to your site, and process your wood waste. Serving much of New England, we recently mobilized our equipment to Scituate, Massachusetts for 6 days of grinding. We were working at a mulch yard; our daily production rates were impressive and the quality of mulch produced was second to none according to our customer.
Road Work - We build entirely new roads and maintain existing ones. From cutting new roads through the woods to grading and compacting gravel we build and maintain safe long lasting roads. Land Clearing - Removal of stumps, brush and rocks; we leave the site ready to build on and transport all of the debris to our pit for recycling.
Lowbed Equipment Transportation - We operate two 55-ton lowbed trailers and move heavy equipment for loggers, equipment dealers and other contractors. Trucking - We have a modern fleet of dump trucks and an experienced group of drivers with clean safety records. Bark Mulch Deliveries - We also accept brush and stumps for recycling at our facility, and can deliver bark mulch to your site.
Cross Excavation is a fully licensed and insured company, providing complete demolition services for industries, municipalities, and homeowners. Residential Demolition - Home demolition or the wrecking and removal of a garage, shed, retaining wall, deck, or other residential building. Industrial or Commercial Demolition - Wrecking services for larger jobs and larger buildings and industrial sites.
Subdivisions - Contracting to plow private roads in subdivisions, providing timely and expert plowing and sanding. Driveways - Residential or commercial. By contract for the winter, or a single job if we get an old-fashioned Nor'Easter that buries your pickup or plow-truck. Sand & Salt - Your driveway, parking lot, or private road will be treated for proper traction on snow or ice.

I contacted Cross for a new septic on my property. The owner responded immediately. I provided him with the plans and he began work ASAP. The work was done well and efficiently. They left my property neat considering the time of year (March 2021) with little damage to my lawn. He returned in the April-May(2021) to repair the lawn as part of the final leg of my septic installation. I highly recommend him! Couldn't be happier.
