Through our full continuum of services, Sierra Vista has established itself as a leader in unconditional care. We meet children and families where they live, go to school, and in their own communities.
We support children and families during some of the most challenging times of their lives, as they deal with abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, early mental health issues, and family crisis. We give hope, help children find joy, strengthen families and communities, and offer an opportunity for a better life.

In 1972 H.I. Tom Sawyer, a dairy farmer and a volunteer member of the Stanislaus County Mental Health Advisory Board envisioned a group home that could provide the high level of care needed for children in Stanislaus County. The agency's foundation was built on the belief that children need positive and loving role models to grow into healthy adults.
