Services
The unique story behind the 916 E Cape Coral Parkway building is well known to many long-term Cape Coral residents. For twenty plus years, Dr. Mel's parents owned and operated the famous "Yums" Ice Cream Store in the very same location! After graduating chiropractic school, Dr. Mel's father, Rich, helped her turn the shop into the office it has become.
Chiropractic health care primarily focuses on examining, evaluating and treating the neck, spine and pelvis to determine if one or many areas are malfunctioning and thus causing abnormal "biomechanics" or body movements. Through aging, gravity, emotional stress, previous injuries and poor posture, our bodies can also become out of balance.
We proudly offer beneficial Massage services to our Cape Coral office. Our massage therapists are knowledgeable and attentive to your specific needs. It is recommended that you communicate with your therapist which areas you would like to focus on and areas to be avoided. During deep tissue massage, therapists will apply deep pressure to release chronic muscle tension and adhesions.
We have several facials and skin care services available to meet individual needs. Our estheticians are happy to recommend particular services after analyzing your skin to make the most out of your visit. A complimentary skin care analysis is available upon request. A typical facial consists of cleansing, exfoliating, and massaging the face, mask application, and, if necessary, performing extractions.
Laser Therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. K-Laser delivers physiological benefits that no other modality is capable of. Laser therapy encourages adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production and goes deep to the cellular level by enhancing cell membrane permeability.

Just relocated from MA and needed to find a new Chiropractor. I heard about Dr. Mel's at the local Farmers Market, did some online research and decided to give them a try. I was greeted immediately with a smile, checked-in and only had to wait about 5 minutes. Erin was fantastic; very outgoing and professional all at the same time. She listened and then thoroughly reviewed my x-rays with me helping me understand what we were seeing. Dr. Carrie was great. She made me feel very comfortable and worked her magic. I had never gone to a chiropractor before because my husband's experiences at different offices have been so hit or miss over the years. I loved Dr Mel's story and the reviews were great, so I gave it a try. So glad that I did! My back pain which has bothered me almost 20 years is gone. Dr Carrie is awesome!!! The staff is also great. I really love this place and I'm very grateful to have found them.

I go to this office for my adjustments and massages! Amazing staff that’s always friendly and truly does everything in their power to get you feeling back to yourself. Miladys is the most wonderful massage therapist, and always cares for me in the most genuine way. Have been coming here for years! Highly recommend them.

Walked in with pain level between 7-8 and walked out so much better. The environment is calming. The entire staff work hard on giving everyone an excellent experience. Pain & stress is tremendously reduced by the time I left the office. You decide to pay for wellness visits or at the doctor's office. Can't wait to go back!

I've been going to Dr Mel Youngs for over a year. I currently go every 2-3 weeks for a routine adjustment and 1 hour therapeutic massage. Back story, I had a neck injury and started having bad migraines. So, my regular physician, after reviewing x-rays, referred me to see a chiropractor, due to a pinched nerve in the top of my spine, in my neck, which was causing my pain. Let me tell you, Dr Mel Youngs has been amazing! My headaches are gone now! Staff and doctors are all amazing and provide great customer service! They really do care! (They have a LOT of services and options available too.) I

Terrible customer service, I waited forever for someone to notice I've been waiting an hour for someone to say can I help you! Unprofessional owner, rude and snobby attitude!! She starting yanking my back and shoulders until I told her to please just stop. On the way out she showed me all the things I needed to help my back pain, a special pillow, some electric shock thing, creams and kept trying to sell me all this stuff! When I said NO she said you don't have to pay for any of it, we charge it to your insurance!! Now we know why our insurance is so expensive. Save you time and insurance

They advertise massage therapy, but ONLY if you get a physical from the Chiropractor (which includes x-rays). I've been going to a massage therapist for 3 years and my issues are not medical (just sitting in front of a computer all day), so I'm not spending all that money for an exam when I can just look for another massage company. Just a way to get more money out of you!

I took my daughter to get her first Microdermabrasion. I want to say Catherine was amazing and took care of her. She told my daughter everything that she was going to do before she did it. We received so much information on how to take care of her skin I was amazed. I will recommend Dr. Mel Youngs Cape Coral office to anyone. I am so excited to keep going back there for her skin problems. 100% AMAZING! I also was never pushed to buy their products even though I did because I trusted them. I didn't feel like I had to!

My family was fortunate to be one of Dr Mel's early patients. We moved out of state for about ten years and recently moved back. We remembered the great treatment and service she gave us back then and were anxious to get back in to see her. It was a great reunion and as expected she is still just as caring as we remembered. We need to see a massage therapist now as well. She has a great staff of therapists that really go the extra mile to make sure our needs are addressed. We highly recommend Dr Mel and her team!

The good: They definitely seem to care about their patients, and try anything they can to help. Really sweet, warm people working there.
The bad: In my experience, they push products, services, etc quite a bit more than the average "clinic". And what are they trying to be....a clinic? A spa? If a spa, it's way too noisy; Don't go there expecting to find calm and quiet. As a clinic, not professional enough in my opinion. Case in point follows....
The ugly: Right on the front counter there is a notepad with "Botox appointments" in bold black letters where their botox

SO GLAD I give places second chances! Talked with the doctor about my previous experience, she genuinely cares about EVERY person that comes through the door.
So went back for a second adjustment. It was a million times better than the first! Was at a pace where I didn't feel rushed.
My problem areas were located and adjusted without pain!!! Gotta LOVE that. :)
There was clear explanation of everything that was given extra attention and why. Plus where I might have some sore spots the next day.

Michelle is fantastic for massages! The best! When I first heard about her I was told she books out 2 weeks in advance...... I was schocked! After my first massage with her I realized why.....She is great. Very strong. Knows the body extremely well. Go to her for sure if you have time. My family and I are from Chicago and were in Florida for a few months and we were sure glad we found Michelle. We are massage snobs! Thanks again.
