Public Drug Co. was founded in 1935 at 601 Central Avenue in the heart of downtown Great Falls, Montana. For nearly seventy-five years Public Drug stood virtually unchanged until a recent fire swept through the building that has been the store's home since it's opening. Through the years, the owners of Public Drug have created and maintained a family-friendly working and shopping environment.

The drug store offers open accounts for added convenience with deliveries and special orders are never a problem. Prices are competitive with other pharmacies plus the store offers free delivery, anywhere in the city, Monday through Friday.

An estimated 50 percent or more of medications for chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol and diabetes, are not taken as prescribed. Medication non-adherence can lead to worsening health conditions, hospitalizations and death. Whatever the reason is for medication non-adherence, we have a solution for you.
When it comes to disease prevention, immunizations are key. Getting vaccinated protects you and those around you. Our main focus is to help you and your loved ones stay up-to-date on the recommended vaccines. We offer flu immunizations. Our highly qualified staff can easily administer these immunizations here at the pharmacy.
You may find that you have been prescribed a number of medications, and that you need to take them at different times of the day. It can be difficult to keep track of what medication you need to take and when. We offer a multi-dose packaging that bundles your medications together by date and time. For example, all your medications that are to be taken in the morning will be packaged together in one pack.
Do you ever find it difficult to keep up with your medication refills and picking up your medications? If you answered yes, you may benefit from medication synchronization. Med Synchronization, also called med sync, is a program we offer here at the pharmacy to help synchronize your medication refills so that you will be able to pick up ALL of your medications on a single day each month.

I went in to purchase some cologne and some perfume so that I can smell good for my wife and because we haven't had much lately here in there and then we got blessed and I just wanted to give her something nice I don't know what to get though so the nice lady in the store she gave me some advice like you would get from your grandmother or your mother or maybe even your sister or Aunt who knows but definitely not a man's advice and just so have it my wife loved the perfume and we had a good day and I think that I give that glory to God and the wonderful staff at Public Drug

Good folks! I had to call and ask a few questions & they were amicable and helpful on the phone. When I went in today, they were prompt and nice, though the store was pretty busy.
I am a sucker for a good greeting card. Most are cheesy & stupid but this place has a good selection of stuff other than Hallmark & Shoebox. It looked like they had some other cool little gifts & things, but my meter was running low.
The pharmacist is a very kind man. He listened to my concerns about drugs (pharmaceuticals can mess you up!) & calmly explained options and things to look out for. The

This too is no longer here.
One of the last real "time machine" businesses along central ave was consumed by a fire two years ago.
Although they relocated down the street and are now building a replacement store,
nothing can replace the time worn feel of a vintage store.
So if you missed it,
you missed it.
The good news is the new store fits well with a good vibe exterior,
and the classic neon sing will rise from the ashes
to shine on central ave once more.

Another great 50's era marquee in downtown great falls! I mean, this downtown is like a David Lynch movie for real. The listing says "Public Camera Shop" and I did observe a camera shop inside the drug store, but the Marquee clearly says "Public Drug Store" not camera shop.
Unclear whether you can buy birth control at THIS Great Falls drug store, but that appears to be a salient issues in Great Falls- there was a front page newspaper reader poll the day we there- with only 51% saying that Drug Stores SHOULDN'T be forced to sell "birth control" if it is
