Home owner beware. Disturbing experience with Coakley Realty. My agent Mike Rose brought an offer that worked best for Coakley where both the buyer and seller were under the same brokerage -- so if course they make full commission. They'll orchestrate it to make that offer look like the best one even if there's a stronger one in the pack and then pressure you to take it. Looking back it's so easy to see how staged the whole thing was.
So if you're looking for an agent who will represent you and always look out for YOUR best interest -- I wouldn't recommend Coakley Realty

Horrible, warning- do not even think of working with them. We had Coakley manage several properties for us- they were very disorganized and the people working with them acted like they were doing us a "favor." Lost great deals of money with improper management. The owners are VERY arrogant. Not client service service oriented.

I second all of the comments made by the previous negative reviewers.
They do nothing about trying to secure your rent from the tenant in a timely manner. The lease says no later than the 5th of the month. Invariably, I don't receive the funds until after the 10th. An email asking for someone to call me to discuss this issue was responded to by an email stating that the check was being signed that day.
I will be terminating my contract with them as soon as I possibly can.
They very clearly seem to think that managing your property consists of charging 6% to collect a monthly check, whenever

DO NOT USE COAKLEY REALTY FOR ANY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES!
1) Poor Tenant Screening - referred numerous candidates that had poor credit, were bankrupt, unemployed. The purpose of property management is to assist the landlord in screening applicants. Its pretty obvious that those in the above categories are unlikely to be able to afford monthly rent and security deposit and should easily have been screened out.
2) Poor Landlord advocate - as the property manger was hired y the landlord with explicit directions on how to maintain the property basic questions such as repainting, repairs etc

I bought my condo with the help of Mike Rose and the team at Coakley Realty, and I can't imagine working with anyone better. I was a young female single buyer, and they completely took me under their wings and took care of me, making sure I understood everything that was going on, and even coming over to help me figure out how to get the windows in my new place unstuck and other random tasks - a few weeks after the deal was done, so they could've easily considered themselves free and clear of any obligation to help me out.
