When determining the best interests of the adoptee, Michigan law follows general guidelines to ensure the best possible outcome for the child and all interested parties. The goal of the guidelines is to allow "the sum total of the factors to be considered, evaluated, and determined by the court to be applied to give the adoptee permanence at the earliest possible date."
Most natural and artificial persons who reside in the United States, or whose domicile, place of business, or property is in the United States may file a voluntary petition under Chapter 7 of the Code. Only a family farmer with regular annual income may commence a Chapter 12 case. The Code defines the term family farmer to include individuals, corporations, and partnerships, if these persons or entities meet various tests set out in the Code.

I was referred to them by Willis law. I ended up having to call multiple times and left multiple messages. No one ever called me back. When I finally got in contact with someone who I can only assume was a paralegal or attorney, they ended up referring me to another attorney. I understand they are busy but they referred me before even listening to my reason for calling. Who ever took my call realized this after the fact and back peddled to let me get a 2 sentenced explanation just to refer me again to the same place. Overall not the best experience.

Although I can usually handle my legal affairs without any assistance, I had a matter that I had some questions on and called Willis & Willis, who referred me to Michael Hettinger, who has not had the best "reputation" you might say, and, as expected he never had the courtesy to contact me at all! In reading the other reviews, it appears that this is Mr. Hettinger's
mode of conducting business. Further research reveals that the firm of Hettinger & Hettinger have had many personal/financial problems. He needs to have a few grievances filed with the State Bar!

We contacted them to help us with an immigration case. They were very nice but didn’t seem to answer questions very well. He would repeat things over and over and didn’t seem like he was sure of what he was doing. But we decided to trust him anyway. After 2 years into our immigration process he called us and asked us a very simple question. And that question was the very first question he asked us when we went in for the first time to determine what paper work was to be submitted and what path we must take to get the results we needed. I was calling every other day. I paid the very first day. Which when you only make 12.00$ a hour, The receptionist never really knew what was going on
I received zero services! And since then I have bill's coming from 15 to 20 years ago ( nice) lost my house spent my time getting and faxing everything it ended up costing me a little over 400 for a phone call
