A: Our Teachers are State Licensed and have many years of classroom experience. We require our teachers to be licensed for a few reasons: 1) We have VERY high standards and want our preschoolers to be prepared for their first day of school 2) We believe the in-classroom training they received prior to graduation (student teaching) is an invaluable asset.

In the past 75 years, research has provided a great deal of information about childhood as a separate and distinct stage of life with its own characteristics. The application of this body of knowledge to teaching is called developmentally appropriate practice. Developmentally appropriate practice provides children with opportunities to learn and practice newly acquired skills.
