We understand losing a loved one, whether it was expected or unexpected, is not easy. The sadness of a death can leave you feeling paralyzed and overwhelmed.
We have established a reputation for service built on excellence, warmth, dignity and detailed attention. When a family requests our service time after time over several generations, they are acknowledging a profound trust in our services. We feel honored serving families since 1923.

Local resident, Alvin Berglund, started his own funeral home business in Cambridge in the 1920's and in 1947 relocated to the former home of local businessman D.O. Anderson. Berglund made many improvements to the turn-of-the-century home to give it the comfortable atmosphere still prevalent today. Alvin Berglund employed a young funeral director by the name of Gordon Carlson, who later purchased the business.

Cremation does not limit, but in fact increases the options available. The options for ceremonies prior to or following the cremation can include the selection of a casket or an urn, visitation with the body present (or memorial visitation where the urn is the focal point), a display of photographs, personal effects and awards, the location of the funeral ceremony and selection of music.
