Founded by Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Valente Orozco, Clovis Counseling firmly believes that therapy should be a collaborative process. This means that parents and children should be actively involved in the development of their treatment goals and remain engaged throughout the treatment process.
When a child is troubled or hurting, it's only natural to want to do everything in your power to help them. And that's what inspires and motivates Valente Orozco, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. To quote Mr. Orozco, "Our mission is to promote children's emotional and behavioral health by bringing together the school, home, and community through advocacy, therapy, and resource coordination".
It is our responsibility as a community to do all we can to support our children's success in life. Therefore as parents, you are not alone in the challenging world of parenting. Often times, children, adolescents and young adults need additional support to navigate the world around them. Parents, teachers and counselors all play an important role in the overall success of the child.
Now, more than ever, schools are feeling pressure from ever-changing demands, policies, expectations, and standards. The number of students in classrooms makes individualized attention a constant struggle for teachers, administrators, and staff. Often communication with the student's family is the missing piece to an effective classroom intervention.
Clovis Counseling and Valente Orozco, LCSW offer supervision and consultation for licensed practitioners as well as interns with an emphasis on the use of Play in therapy with children, as well as Gestalt Therapy with children and adolescents. In this setting, we discuss your work with clients as well as your ongoing experience as a therapist from a Gestalt Therapy framework.
