Located in historic downtown Westerly, our tasting room is a place to unplug from daily life and connect with friends and family. We offer a variety of handcrafted ciders and wines made with apples exclusively sourced from our partners at Sunset Orchards in North Scituate, RI. At the Tapped Apple we are proud to support local artists, makers, and businesses.
I was visiting RI from out of town with my cousin and we decided to stop in. Tapped is located in the quaint downtown of Westerly and features a delicious selection of ciders. The servers are knowledgeable and will give you the run-down of the menu. Definitely do a flight before choosing one, the ciders we thought we'd like the least were our favorites.

Seasonal flavors and monthly rotating art on the walls make it a place that will have changed a little bit since the last time you went, unless you're like me and pop in all the time, even just to say hi.
I have a long and growing number of memories here, all fond. The Wiedenhefts are wonderful, hardworking people and always choose lovely staff.

My friends and I came to this place on a Sunday evening. We had a flight and a few glasses of wine each. After closing time, we were able to meet the owners, share stories and honestly had a wonderful time. I'm not from the area and live in Colorado but this winery that we picked was fantastic. Will definitely make an effort to visit again in the future.

Went to Tapped Apple Cidery & Winery recently and I gotta say I just loved everything about it. The bring your own food aspect is really clever and helps make the experience more you own. However they do have some charcuterie options that were just so yummy. The waitress seemed super knowledgeable and was so incredibly kind. The balsamic vinegar mixed into the cider was for sure my favorite!

Stopped in today and the person working was very friendly from the start. We brought a pizza and he quickly brought us a tray to put it on so our table wouldn't be too crowded. He came to take our order from the table and had little paper menus so we could check off what we wanted. Service was fast and the cider was excellent. Will definitely be back!

We stopped here on our way back to Boston after catching a solid meal at PizzaPlace down the block and we all had a great time!
Our server and guide was a lot of fun and very informative for those of us in the group that were deciding to partake in the spirits. The tasting menu is laid out in a clean and logical way as well, making it easy to make selections to match one's preferences.

Good drinks and better service! I really enjoyed my experience at Tapped, the staff were very attentive and friendly. Got the flight of course! where you can mix & match 6 wines, ciders, cocktails.Pomme D'amour wine and Strawberry Daze Cider where delicious standouts in my book.

Cute little find in Westerly! Was looking for a brewery to kill a rainy afternoon and found this place on Google. Some interesting wines and ciders. The Light My Fire was a unique taste. Bought a two bottles of the wine. This is a bring your own food establishment but they offer cheese plates that are a good size portion. Highly recommend.

It was my first time in over a year enjoying the experience of dining out and I choose Tapped Apple! They were creative with outdoor seating, had excellent customer service, held interesting conversations with their guests and totally surprised me when I found out how much I like hard cider! My wife and I always enjoy visiting Tapped Apple. Very relaxing environment in the tasting room with beautiful paintings all around. Lots of great options to choose from on the wine list. Not sure which wine is for you? No worries! The staff is super friendly/helpful and will point you in the right direction. Oh, and they do feature some awesome live music. Highly recommend!

We live in CT and venture out to this great little place. We stumbled upon it last year and have been there 3 times already. Yesterday , was most recent. Fell in love with the coconut vinegar infused cider. Got a growler of it and enjoying a glass now by fire. Also, loved the blackberry and blueberry vanilla one also.
The owners were super nice and inviting. Great atmosphere and loved looking at artwork on walls. Already looking forward to next times visit.

Went on Christmas Eve and it wasn't packed at all. We decided to go with the tasting and I loved it!
You get to choose 6 options between apple based wines and ciders. We ended up trying almost all of them and they were all very tasty! My favorite was actually the ciders. The IPA cider was just so good I ordered it again!
I had a very good experience at Trapped Apple Winery. The staff were all very friendly, wearing masks and the seating arrangements were definitely spaced out. I would recommend this place!

Stopped into Tapped Apple for a tasting and a quick bite to eat. My favorite was the new Gravenstein cider and the light my fire. Ordered some nice cheese snacks and enjoyed the great environment- Covid-era friendly of course- while being served with consistent and friendly service. Would recommend and come back!

Went for my birthday and it was such a fun and unique experience. I had never been to a cider place, but they have all sorts of cider AND wine. I tried stuff that was super unique. We enjoyed our flights and the service was great. I definitely took a 4 pack to go. I also liked that we could bring our own food so we made our own charcuterie board while we enjoyed our drinks. I do wish they had some food options, but there are restaurants on the same street to enjoy.

On our last minute trip to Watch Hill, I saw great reviews for this cider winery and I immediately booked a reservation
When we arrived, we were looking to ear first and John at the front gave us great recommendations on where to walk to and told us that our reservation works still be fine when we returned
We returned, I had a flight tasting of apple cider with elderberries to apple cider with ginger and even one made in a bourbon barrel.
This was my first apple cider tasting and I must say I was impressed with the selections
The winery area is very inviting and I witnessed all the sanitation

It was such a wonderful time! Very friendly and attentive to our needs, we were able to sit and have an amazing visit and never felt rushed even as the time flew by. The selection was also great, and seemed to have something to offer for any taste. We were very impressed with the unique flavor of the wine with the ginger bite. I personally really liked that the option was left open to bring our own food in, but we were able (and chose) to purchase some of the cheese, crackers and chorizo on location. 10/10 would recommend and I cannot wait until my next visit!

Already planning my next visit to get a carafe or two. Decor is welcoming and comfortable, the staff encourages you to relax and enjoy their offerings. So welcoming that when we mentioned we were only leaving because we needed dinner, they invited us to get take out and bring it back! Tastings are very reasonably priced and the flavors were varied and enjoyable. Their charcuterie options are inexpensive and good quality - best I've had at any local wineries/breweries. Westerly is a great town to walk around and spend an afternoon, I'd highly suggested starting or ending your day

This place just never fails! Super fun place to come spend the afternoon or evening! Everytime we have been here there has been live entertainment and it really puts you in a good mood!
We decided to do another full flight tasting with chocolate pairing on this visit and I think all the wines are really good, but I am still sticking with Cerise Noir and Sweet Temptation as my two favorites! The chocolates are pretty amazing too!!
After the tasting we opted for the Ginger Snap Spritzer Cocktail and omg was it delicious!
Definitely one of our favorite go to spots!

My husband & I had this lovely Monday off of work so we decided to make a day and try some wineries on the Connecticut wine trail. We had to stop at the Tapped Apple Winery on the way. I think it's awesome that all wines are made from apples.

I first tried the fruit wines at a fundraiser and was impressed. So we stopped at their store on the way to the casino. What a lovely area Westerly is with so many interesting stores and restaurants. I will definitely be back to explore the area soon.
The winery read lovely. Sparsely furnished with the emphasis on the bar, the beautiful artwork on the walls and the wine vats all bright and shiny.
