In 1990, Ron and his wife Cindy established Mainestone Jewelry as a home based business and developed a demand for his creations through word of mouth. In 1998, due to increased demand for his designs, they opened a retail store on Front Street in downtown Farmington, Maine. During the next six years the business grew, and in 2004 they moved to a larger store at their current location on Broadway.

Services
Mainestone Jewelry offers in-house silver and gold jewelry repair on all jewelry, not just on items that were purchased from our store. We also provide pearl and bead stringing and/or hand-knotting. At Mainestone, rest assured that we'll treasure your piece as if it were our very own. Ron Gelinas, owner and goldsmith, is available to discuss details of repairs during business hours.

Ron and his entire team at Mainestone Jewelry are truly exceptional in both their jewelry and in their service. My wife and I make it a point to visit whenever we are in Farmington and have purchased a number of pieces from them that we have very much enjoyed. Most recently (today) Ron helped me get the perfect "Push Present" for my wife and our forthcoming Baby Boy made from locally sourced Maine Tourmaline (our son's birthstone) adding additional meaning as both my and my wife's roots are from Maine not far from where the Tourmaline was sourced. Very excited to give my wife this present next

This is the place that ruined my heirloom wedding rings, they refused to go good on them, they just refunded the $ i paid and offered solutions that financially benefited them! Even after his daughter/employee admitted they did wrong, and that she would have atopped him had she known what he was doing to my rings because she knew thats not what i wanted, the owner still refuses to accept they were wrong! My rings are not fixable 😞 💔 My rings look nothing like they did when I dropped them off,and they look awful now! I am now without wedding rings and really don't have the money to replace
