Kevin and his colleagues at Plattypus gutted our home in the South End in Boston taking it from a classic brownstone design to a modern one. We were most impressed by the craftsmanship of the work, the ownership and pride everyone at Plattypus (including contractors) took in the project, and the responsiveness of Kevin, who was always quick to return emails and texts when concerns or questions arose. Our project was a complicated one, lasting over eighteen months, as it included major structural fixes and complex design due to the contemporary look that our architect had drawn up (see pictures

Kevin and his team at Plattypus LLC did a great job for us, with a new addition and remodeled kitchen and bathroom. They took care of everything they said they would, and did it on time as planned. I was not expecting them to also offer design ideas, but we are happy they did, as it made a difference. They have also been very responsive to any questions we had after the fact, and we also hired them for some siding work. Top shelf!

Sought out a local contractor to construct a temporary support structure for a failing garage header that had a large stone facade. Appeared to be very meticulous in his work along with consulting our engineer when the header had gotten worse than when first assessed. We had a few set backs with the town but Kevin put in extra time to resolve and update us with the issues. None of the large stones that were removed or existing stones broke during the removal process. Easy to work with and extremely prompt in addressing emails. The job was completed in just over a day in cold weather and appears
