Blue Heron Yoga classes are available by appointment (private lessons) or by registration at this time. Vaccination is required unless medically exempt. So I feel that my role as a teacher of Yoga is to open paths for students to develop and maintain a state of centered, calm focus in an ever-changing world.

Services
Blue Heron Yoga specializes in an adaptive style of Therapeutic Yoga for all ages and stages of life. Private lessons are available for those with spacial needs and/or injuries and chronic conditions. Yoga is much more than just stretching. Sometimes, as we release holding patterns and painful conditions, past issues emerge.
For centuries, Yoga has been taught one-on-one in private settings where your individual needs can be addressed. Without the distraction of others, an individually-paced breathing, movement and relaxation session allows you to progress effectively at your own pace. Mental, spiritual and emotional issues are explored and resolved as they arise so that you may experience deep healing at all levels.
In a group class, Yoga is taught by linking your breath with both moving and still posture to cultivate ease in your body, balance and flexibility. Breathing is taught both with poses and by itself to enhance concentration and to induce relaxation and tranquility. In group classes, you are given periods of time to explore at your own pace.
Following my accident, I was seriously disabled. Dea helped me gain back my confidence in my physical abilities and has literally helped me every step of the way. I had taken the classes for about 3 years (about ten years ago) and have found that Yoga has greatly helped me physically, mentally, and spiritually.
