For over three decades, we have worked closely with design professionals and private clients, creating works of art that have become a fundamental component and the focal point of their setting. In addition, the studio has repaired and restored numerous windows, stained glass lampshades and reproduced etched glass panels.
We encourage our clients to become involved in the stained glass experience by teaming up with them, their architects and interior designers when requested. Welcome to the website of DC Studios LLC, a full service Stained Glass Studio. We are conveniently located in New York's Hudson Valley, easily servicing the NY, NJ, PA, CT, VT, and MA areas. Our Germantown studio is 99 miles north of NYC and halfway between both Historic Hudson and Rhinebeck.

Since 1975, we have collaborated with architects, interior designers and private clients. Sometimes, we are asked to evaluate existing stained glass windows to determine their overall condition and to provide recommendations for proper maintenance, repair, restoration, conservation or external protection.

We create our designs on the computer and are able to email the images for design review and discussion. Please note how exact our designs are to the finished piece.
Our studio creates original beautiful designs using Glass Eye 2000 software. After our design is created in the program, the full sized "cartoon" is printed exactly as drawn, to precise measurements, for final review. Templates for cutting glass and building the actual panel (see below) are made from the printed pattern.
This is the 6th commission, over 20 years, that I have asked Doris to design for me. I give her free reign in design after we discuss what I would like to see. I also ask her to do better than the best she can do. Her skill and talent is unmatched. I have never been dissappointed. Each of her designs have been unique, and she endeavors to find unique handmade glass that in itself is a work of art.
