The American Academy of Dermatology and the University of Pennsylvania have established a partnership with the country of Botswana to provide permanent health care services and education.Weekly, I traveled outside the capital to see patients in the out-of-hospital setting. In addition to treating dermatologic conditions, I taught basic skin care skills to new mothers with a child afflicted by atopic dermatitis (eczema).

I have been a patient of Dr. Dougherty’s for several years now and I think she is phenomenal! I began seeing her for medical skin issues, but she has since treated me for cosmetic ones, as well. She is personable, caring and thoughtful, explains things clearly and is very skilled. I have referred family and friends to her office and all of them were equally pleased. Furthermore, I have heard nothing but good things from patients of the other doctors. The office administrative staff and medical assistants are friendly, helpful and professional.
