What is America Recycles Day? America Recycles Day is a national holiday dedicated to celebrating recycling in the United States. As recycling became more popular during the '80s and '90s, people began to recognize its importance. Twenty-four years later, our message is the same: buy recycled products and.

Electronic waste, also known as e-waste, is any electronic product or equipment that is near the end of its useful life. If not disposed of properly, e-waste can have severe human and environmental health impacts. Find out more about e-waste and where to recycle it here! We get asked a lot of questions about recycling in a week!
It's important to first reduce the amount of things we buy, especially non-recyclable or disposable items. Instead of drinking bottled water at work, use a glass. Spending time outside? Fill up an aluminum bottle instead. Glass and aluminum are reusable, dishwasher safe, and can save you hundreds of dollars a year when you switch from buying bottled water.
Some forms of e-waste cost a lot more to safely dispose of, so we now require anyone dropping off those items to help cover the cost of the safe and environmentally-friendly disposal. Details about that items have a surcharge is below. Payments can be made here. We accept Electronic Waste at our Broken Arrow, Central Tulsa, Claremore, Downtown Tulsa, East Tulsa, Glenpool, and Sand Springs recycling centers.
There are currently no processors in Oklahoma that can handle plastics 3-7. With no market for 3-7 in Oklahoma, we cannot accept them. However, we anticipate that we will be able to accept them in the future, as several companies are opening up MRFs (material recovery facilities) in the area, and the possibility of a much larger, citywide curbside program.

My husband and I do not participate in the recycling program that picks up the items from your house. We have always utilized the recycle bins at Target and it's worked well for us, but we had a large amount of cardboard boxes piling up in our garage and we needed a place to take them. The Met was a great solution! Very quick to drive in and drop off our broken down cardboard boxes. They have several bins and areas for different items (well organized and labeled) from office paper to plastic bottles, aluminum cans, cooking oil, motor oil, antifreeze, electronic items, and more. It's free

Not a great situation here. The staff is primarily developmentally disabled adults (it's great they have an opportunity to work) who are mostly unsupervised. During my visit the workers seemed to have no real idea of what to do or where to put anything. They didn't know I needed to pay for monitor disposal. The supervisor finally came over and told me to remove the monitors that had already been put in the container, because she couldn't have them in there until I got online and paid for the disposal. While I was trying to do that, one of the workers got too close to my vehicle with an armload

Thank goodness we have this so close in Midtown! Living in an apartment complex, our recycling is not collected. That means instead of wheely bins, we have to take our recycling in our car to a centre.
My only complaint is that, although they take plastics, chemicals, electronics, batteries, and such... They only have one bin for corrugated cardboard! It's always full.
