We provide tree service to homeowners such as removal of dead standing ash trees, dangerous trees overhanging your roof, or trimming of dead, or overhanging branches. We have a 75 foot rear mounted bucket truck for trees that we can drive up to, and we also have an 83 foot spider lift for backyard trees and especially difficult to access dead trees that cannot be climbed.
We also provide stump removal and excavation services such as stump grinding, removal of grindings, tree roots, regrading and spreading new topsoil. Sometimes there's a huge tree stump that needs to be removed. It can't be stump ground, because it can't be left to rot beneath the surface. It also can't easily be cut into smaller pieces. The only way to get it out is to dig all around it with a large excavator. Then at some point it can be tipped sideways or upside down so as much soil can be removed from the roots as possible.

I was not impressed with the response time. There were limited times in my schedule that we seemed to work out, but the first time we were not notified of the company's car trouble until almost an hour after the appointment. The second reschedule was also a no-show, and he never confirmed the time. We were looking for a second quote because we were interested in a 'climbing' company, but we will look someplace else.

These guys were great. I had a very tall pine tree, too close to the house, that had dropped a couple of 30 ft limbs from the top on two occasions, once onto my car. Every time strong winds were forecast we would start shifting vehicles around and pray that nothing came down. It was time for it to go. Leigh responded to my enquiry very promptly and quoted a reasonable price to take the pine down, along with three other dead trees, trim up a couple of other trees and remove some dead branches off an oak that were overhanging my power lines. We used Organic Enlightenment Company back in February 2020 when we purchased a home in Waterbury Wolcott area. He had all the right “big boy tools” to get the job done safely on our tight backyard where a typical cherry picker could not reach. He cut down several large trees that were leaning toward our new home and several smaller trees. Unfortunately we been so busy with fixing other parts of the home I had forgotten to write a review and now came around to it. I had them come down to give a quote. I ended going with organic enlightenment because Leigh the owner was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what he was going to be doing. His price was very fair. In the end, he and his guys really did a great job. My yard looks great now thanks to them. I'd use them again and recommend to friends.
