Karl Kehm was born in Germany in 1884. He immigrated to America as a young man. In 1910, he started a concrete masonry company and called it Kehm Construction. Quality and fairness were the guiding principles, and you can still find evidence of that stamp of pride in concrete flatwork that has passed the test of time around Omaha's Old Market.
Karl also served as a Representative in the NE Legislature. Following in his father's footsteps, Karl Kehm II took the lead role at Kehm Construction in 1948 after returning from military service. Maintaining the same high standards, he expanded the business to include heavy highway work and significant commercial masonry projects.
