We're proud to be the 6th generation family-owners of Ruff Furniture. Our history goes back to the 1840's, when our family opened a general store in the little cotton boom-town of Ridgeway. Of course, they sold everything then. From seed to sewing needles to sofas. If you needed it, they'd have it.
Over time, the general store evolved into a furniture and hardware business. My father, Walter Ruff, followed his father and grandfather into the business. Just like him, I've worked here since I was old enough to empty waste baskets. Today, I focus on fine furniture while my brother operates the hardware store across the street.

Great locally owned business with quality items and very fair prices. They even have some very unique solid wood Amish pieces as well as mattress sets from a local company that are a great in both quality and price. John is great to work with too. He is honest and fair and helps you find alternatives to fit your needs. We bought several pieces and he was very accommodating with delivery scheduling. Very pleased with our purchases and will most definitely be back for our next furniture purchase!

Picked up our new furniture yesterday...absolutely magnificent!! Incredible Amish workmanship. The dining room chairs are a beautiful addition, really striking!! So comfortable!! The end tables are equally beautiful and very well made. Be sure to see John Ruff before you buy any furniture, you'll be absolutely delighted!
